At Fixya.com, our trusted experts are meticulously vetted and possess extensive experience in their respective fields. Backed by a community of knowledgeable professionals, our platform ensures that the solutions provided are thoroughly researched and validated.
Go to http://www.kiatechinfo.com/ and make a free account, logon to that account and you can see all the info the mechanics use. It is not easy to navigate though. One thing is that the switches are inside the transmission so fixing it is not something easy to do, if there are no drive ability issues then you might want to ignore it.

Sounds like full pressure apply from pcm. Must check for full 12v at trans connector. Also check all ground twice. That is a hard trans to install and things tend to get left loose.
P0507 Higher idle speed than expected partially stuck open thermostat engine running colder than normal raises idle speed. Small vacuum leak raises idle speed. sticking throttle cable holding throttle plate open. P0741 Torque Converter Clutch system stuck off : Code conditions : No engine or transaxle system codes set, engine run time over 5 seconds , Throttle Fluid pressure switch not indicating Park/Neutral,TCC commanded On @ max duty cycle, throttle angle over 8% Trans fluid Temp input 68-248f Degrees not in fuel cut off, trans gear ratio indicates 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear delivered torque 32-150 ft lbs, the PCM detected a TCC slip value that was over the torque limits . most likely cause is bad tcc solenoid or torque converter itself. Trans shop can diagnose and repair
If this is code number P0875 then that code is Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit. It is most likely the switch is bad. If memory serves me correctly that transmission has one on the drivers side near the transmission pan. though a Haynes manual or a image from the dealership would be more precise.
P1784-LR PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT This is atransmission fault code. Diagnosing it will require the DRB3 scan tool, or equivalent aftermarket scanner, and the transmission simulator tool. ---------------
Remove the VB(valve body) and the solenoid pack is easy to change and a shift kit comes with a non stick switch valve. In most of the cases is faulty solenoid pack causing this eror code. But there are other possibilities to.
P1784-LR PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT
When Monitored and Set Condition: P1784-LR PRESSURE SWITCH SENSE CIRCUIT
When Monitored: Whenever the engine is running.
Set Condition: The appropriate code is set if one of the pressure switches are open or closed at the wrong time in a given gear.

Must be closed at Park, Rev and Neutral. Could anyone explain to me how the switch works. Is this the solenoid pack or the LR Pressure issue? The L/R pressure switch should be closed in P/N only. The switch should open when put into REV if the trans is not in limp-in mode. All switches will stay CLOSED if the trans is in limp-in mode. Disconnect the trans 8-way connector at the solenoid pack. Key on scanner hooked up apply 12 volts to the L/R pressure switch pin in the 8-way connector and watch for the switch to change from open to closed. If it does change the SSV may be stuck in the TCC position. You will have to remove the valvebody and inspect the solenoid switch valve to know for sure. The pressure switch itself is in the solenoid pack. If you have an old solenoid pack changing it is easier and quicker than inspecting the valvebody. Perform your diag for fault P1784. I believe the pressure switch is also closed in 1st gear also. Hope this helps.
That code is saying that the transmission pressure is out of specs. You may have internal problems. Try a transmission additive to free up any valves that may be sticking.
As for p1624 this code is for the accent only.
p1613 means the same thing but for the elantra, the
code means malfunction indicator light(mil) signal
circuit input high volt. p0137 means ho2sensor high
voltage (fuel pressure out of range high) p0732 is a
transmission code. It means that due to a malfunction in the trans. circuit, the trans. will operate in limp mode meaning you have reverse and
one forward gear in this case 2nd gear. That brings
us to p0740 this code indicates a malfunction with
the damper clutch control solenoid at the trans. this
would cause the p0732 limp mode. But if your car
is not showing any of these problems, the cause may
be the engine control module or the transmission
control module. But this would have to be checked
with the proper test scanner. Hope this helps.
TCC is torque converter clutch circuit which helps tranny shift smoother and is in front off tranny. $250 Random cyl miss. Most likely bad plug wire or faulty coil pack $45 Transmision pressure switch sends info to computer about tranny pressure and the switch controls it. $400
Code p0740 is a problem in lock up control solenoid assembly, Check whether scan tool indicates another code. Does the scan tool indicate another code? YES - Perform the Troubleshooting Flowchart for the indicated Code(s). Do not continue with this troubleshooting until the causes of any other DTCs have been corrected.
Measure the line pressure. Is the line pressure within the service limit? Repair the hydraulic system as necessary.
Replace the Lock-up Control Solenoid Assembly set lock-up control solenoid valve/shift control solenoid valve A assembly and the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A/B assembly.
Turn the ignition switch OFF, and reset the PCM memory by removing the BACK UP fuse in the passenger's under-dash fuse/relay box for more than 10 seconds .
Using the scan tool, check to be sure that the engine coolant temperature is 176°F (80°C) or above .
Drive the vehicle at 55 mph (88 km/h) for more than one minute .
Recheck for code P0740. Does the OBD II scan tool indicate code P0740? YES - Remove the torque converter and inspect for a missing torque converter O-ring. If the O-ring is damaged or missing, replace the transmission and torque converter. NO - The system is OK at this time.
