I have only used my Shure psm 200 one time and I had trouble with highs. When I would belt out a high note the sound would distort or go away completely. I hope you can help, I'm really hoping to love the in ear monitor.

Brief research didn't turn up "protection" circuitry that could possibly cause your audio "go away completely" but I will assume that the distortion issue is just because the system is set up incorrectly. In-ear systems can be tricky to adjust as too much volume can distort the tiny "ear-bud" type earphones, and damage your hearing. Check online for your model as I found a manual that specifically addresses safe volume levels at the beginning of the owners manual, followed by operational settings, etc.

My psm 400 receiver lights up red and wont work...

A red screen indicates a dead battery. Try a new battery. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then it will need to be sent to Shure for repairs.

Peavey Bass Amp TKO115s

Start with a clean setting - zero cut and zero gain on the Eq. Play a song close to the amp, and then move away, playing the same notes. Do you still get the distortion? Change lower the input gain and repeat the test. Lower the output gain and repeat. Are any outboard distortion pedals in the mix, such as overdrive? Eliminate them. Run straight through from your axe to the amp. Check for any distortion settings. Set everything including reverb to zero. When the distortion disappears, this is your base setting.
Change only ONE parameter at a time. When the distortion comes back, you have found your problem.+

Shure PSM400 In ear monitoring

Hi,

It could be a problem with your antenna.
Or maybe your transmitter is build in a aluminium flightcase which is holding off your RF signal.

Olympus FE 200 Microphone distorts when shooting video

Check in the user book if there is a sensitivity adjustment for the sound recording. It is possible that the sensitivity is set too high.

It is also possible that there is something defective in the camera's audio circuits. In this case the camera would have to be sent to the manufacture service rep to fix the fault.

DISTORTION

1) if you are using the PC sound card to record this is where your hiss is coming from. you need to get a recording card that has low noise or some other recording USB input device to get CD quality recordings

OR

2) if you have to use your PC sound card check your PC volume level for line in, don't let it get high or it will distort. you will have to experiment with the MD4 levels and PC sound card level to find a good middle ground with low hiss and no distortion
and a singer that sings away from the mic to reduce distortion.

hope this helps
