My rca tv has fca lock on and i have no rekote and i cant turn it on but the little red button is on

This is the method to unlock an RCA tV:
Most RCA sets use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The code reset is different depending on the model. Try each number until you find the one that works for you.

1. Hold down the MENU button on the remote and VOLUME DOWN button on the TV it's self at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

2. Hold down the 0 (zero) button on the remote and the VOLUME DOWN button on the TV itself at the same time for at least 4 seconds. The set won't say so, but the lock will be unlocked

3. Hold down the MENU button on the front of the TV and the TV button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. 4- Hold down GO BACK button on the remote and MENU button on the front of the TV at the same time for at least 4 seconds.

1. Hold down EJECT button on the front of the TV set and the MENU button on the remote at the same time for at least 4 seconds. Depending on the model, one of the methods should unlock the V-chip. Now, if desired, you can change the settings on the V-chip by going to the MENU and going to PARENTAL CONTROLS, or on some sets, going to MENU and then going to TV SETUP, then to V-CHIP SET.

You must have its original remote control handset to unlock the FPA lock. If you haven't one with you now, try to muy a new one, or get it gathered from any of your friends or relatives who owns the same modle RCA tv; just to unlock the FPA lcok of your TV. After unlock, you can use any remote control to operate it. To unlock the FPA lock try the folloing porcedures. One amoung it will surely unlock your TV.

I do not find code for RCA tv to Sony universal remote. Anyway I send you three digit codes for RCA herewith. Just try with entering these numbers. I'm not sure will it work or not.

Hit tv then hold the setup button untill in flashes....then you type in 991 and then hit tv power tv power.... untill your tv turns off when it dose hit setup to lock the code

the problem is that the tv was probably set to pwr on only with remote control.........i have the same problem and lost the remote...........BUMMER! Trying to figure out how to reset the programming without the remote.

Hey this same thing happened to me not too long ago and you just have to buy a Universal remote and program it (it should come with the codes to program it to your TV) I think the code is 704 or 702 for RCA... Anywho after that then you can turn your tv back on wit the remote and push menu and Preferences and then FPA off. Its just a parental control block so your kids cant touch the tv buttons and mess with your settings.

Sorry but you're going to have to be a bit more specific than that.. What kind of Tv is it, what model number, is it the original remote, do you have an otherwise good pic and sound, do functions (vol, ch, power) on the Tv work???

If the front panel lock is on, you will need a working original remote (or a universal remote properly programmed for RCA) to turn the set on. The IR receiver is next to the buttons on the fromt but the RCA IR receivers are very reliable, and I have yet to see a bad one in a modern RCA TV. Once you turn the set on by remote, you can enter the menu and turn the FPA off.
