Holding down Power and Volume buttons should force a reset (easier than pulling the battery) IF that doesn't work standard Windows OP is "Run Updates". If you still have a problem after that get the phone exchanged.

dude. Congrats. Your fone is under warranty. Rush to a Nokia Care Centre, immediately and get your fone repaired. This is a common problem with 5310 XpressMusic. Jus take it to Nokia Care centre and they will solve this problem. But i warn you. it will take minimum one week for it tobe repaired. or even more than that.

You must have updated the firmware yourself. Go to Nokia Care and get it done there. When they do it, the complete firmware is removed and reinstalled. When you do it only the new files are changed.
