SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V420 No power

If the standby voltage exists, the next step is to see whether or not the clock is working. Find the main micro chip. There should be a 3 legged crystal close by. You should see this oscillate (use a scope). No oscillation = no micro control = no turn on. It is possible that the micro is bad or the crysal is bad. Also, check to be sure that the output transistors are not shorted. It is also possible that these are preventing the system from turning on.

SOURCE: Yamaha rx-797 w/Yamaha ge-60 eq utilizing prein/main out ..and ad

It sounds like you want to use the external amp rather than the internal one. If that is the case, just connect the output of the EQ to the input of the external amp. All you are doing is inserting the EQ between the amp stages now. Using the mx-1 rather than the internal amp is no different.

SOURCE: Yamaha RX-V2700 no sound from any speaker outputs

Make sure that you have the correct input signal selected.
Also, check if the sound is not muted.
If you have a multi-room speaker switch, make sure it is set correctly to main speakers.

SOURCE: I want my Comcast remote & Yamaha RX-661 to communicate??

30176 or 31176

I am guessing at what remote you are using, so the code may not work. If that is the case, go to the following link and pick your remote from the picture list.

SOURCE: yamaha rx-v663 is there a firmware update to get hdmi 1.4a support ?

Unfortunatly there is not any firmware to upgrade your unit to a higher HDMI format. There is a firmware though that corrects the following symptoms.

1. In case of playback of some DTS-HD Master Audio stream, pop noise may be generated.
2. Test tone may not be output under specific YPAO condition.
3. When test tone is output from presence channel, surround R channel is simultaneously output when speaker settings are PRESENCE SP "EXIST" and SWFR "NONE".
4. Multi channel input setting will be reset after power off the unit, in case of setting "INPUT CH" to "8CH" and "FRONT" to "VCR" or "V-AUX".

How do you reset the circuit protection on Yamaha RX-V667 receiver?

If you are referring to "protect mode", there is no reset. See the link below for an explanation of protect mode. Specifically for your unit, should you find that the outputs are defective, you can expect a parts cost in the $50-$70 range for the repair. Please update this with any other questions you may have.

I have already purchased a yamaha receiver rx-v667 7.2 channels and I am looking for a subwoofer. Before purchasing the subwoofer I would like to understand how many connection options I already have: LFE?...

The 667 has two line level outputs to feed a subwoofer. They are identical. You only need one for most sub woofers. You need a suitable length pin audio (RCA) audio cable to connect.

Yamaha RX-V596 main rigth channel problem

The right or left (side) output channel has blown out. If it uses discrete transistors you'll have to replace two of them (one PNP and one NPN) along with several resistors that are part of the circuit (I'm guessing the static occurs on any input source).
Now , if the static happens only on certain input, then the problem should not be in your amp.
