i cant find anything on that error. i suspect that the scanner unit is physically broken and it wont move when the printer goes through its startup process.
You can try unplugging it from the wall while it is still turned on
wait 20 minutes or so and then plug it in again
that should reset the entire printer
But if there is something physically broken in there the error will just pop up again.
You would need to have it repaired or replaced frankly its probably cheaper to just buy a new one.

try cleaning the heads. That should put the colors back to correct. Sometimes happens with generic ink then have to clean heads more often and you'll have better picture.

E520 is a 2nd BTR sensor error. It is usually caused by waste toner getting on the sensor. Turn off the printer and open the top panel. Lift up the orange handle to unlock the PCU and remove the PCU by lifting it up using the carry handle. Be careful with the PCU drum as it is easily scratched and avoid bright light. Inside the printer on the rear "wall" is a spring loaded cover which can be pushed down to uncover the sensor. It will stick in the down position, do NOT try to force it up again (it will spring back into the right position when the PCU is refitted). Give the sensor a wipe with a soft cloth and refit the PCU. Close the lid and turn back on, with luck all will now be well. If you still have the same error it is time to get proffessional help unless you are experienced at testing voltages and taking printers apart.
