There may be various reasons for your problem.
The SIM card might be damaged. Try inserting the same SIM card into any other active unlocked cell phone. If it works fine then there is no problem with your SIM card. If it doesn't work on other phone too, call the network provider for a replacement SIM.
The SIM port on your phone might be damaged. Try inserting any other active SIM card of same network on your phone, if it works fine, then there is not problem with the SIM port. if it doesn't work with it, take your phone to local mobile phone service.
Your cell phone might be network locked. If you have removed your old SIM card and inserted a new SIM card from any other network, your device must be network restricted to the previous network. You need to unlock it using unique unlock code. You can get the unique unlock code for a HTC Wildfire S from TheUnlockArena.com at affordable cost with an easy unlocking guide. Good luck.

My HTC wildfire won't recognize the sim card. Why?

There may be multiple reasons for the SIM not working/getting detected by phone.here are some remedies.

1.If the phone is locked(sim-locked/region locked)and not factory unlocked then the vendor specific SIM will work.you can not use different SIM provider with the locked phone.
2.check with different SIM cards whether they are getting detected by the phone and you getting signals properly.
3.if your SIM is working in another phone means the problem is in HTC simcard reader or any recent software update you applied on the phone.uninstall/rollback or factory reset the phone(remember this will delete the USER data so first take backup of sms/photos etc).
4.if still it doesnt help it means the phone simreader is faulty which is a hardware problem and you need to seek for service help.hope this helps.

My htc wildfire is froze on the unlock screen , things load up in my status bar , but i cant slide my " unlock bar " neither up or down to unlock it .... i need advice! pleeeease help me :(

you can try a hard reset, but that method will reset the phone to factory settings and will delete all data on the phone so if you proceed with this method backup all data if possible and remove the sim card and any external memory cards.

1. Remove the battery, wait for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery.
2. Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
3. Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
4. Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.

Unlocking, flashing alltel wildfire ADR6225 to work with existing straight talk service

You can unlock your HTC Wildfire by IMEI.
Find the phone's IMEI by dialling *#06# and read it from your phone screen. The IMEI code is also printed on the label in the battery compartment.
Buy an unlock code for your HTC Wildfire from a trusted and safe HTC unlock service. I warmly recommend this one because they have the best prices and great experience in unlocking.
You'll have the code in just a few minutes after you order. Insert different network sim card. It will ask you for the unlock code. Enter the unlock code and your HTC Wildfire will be unlocked and able to accept any GSM Sim card. Good luck!

How or what code can i use to unlock and use different sim card in htc vodafone

Search internet for HTC unlocking websites. You will come across a thousand websites who can do this. Choose which ever you like. Do look for price comparisons and the unlocking instructions. Recheck the Model number- Network to which your phone is locked to and the IMEI number before placing an order. If you made any mistakes in these details these people will never give you a refund!! One more thing, before placing an order ask them about the conditions for getting a full refund in the case of a code failure! Think and make a wise decision. I have personally bought the code for my HTC Wildfire from unlockgenie.com. It is because they have good reviews on most of the mobile phone forums. I got my phone unlocked successfully from that website. I think their codes don't fail. The web link for the above mentioned web site is http://unlockgenie.com/
