You might have a problem with your phone line. Contact your broadband provider as they can slow you down if you have disconnected a lot.
Use a broadband speed checker. That will show if your broadband is slow.
PS NEVER turn your broadband off!

The internet is down the dsl light on the modem is blinking red

Hi,

I experienced the same problem yesterday with my modem, the internet is down as a result of the fact that the computer doesn't recognize the remote modem, hence the dsl light blinks red, when the internet is up the dsl lights should blink green, the problem is mostly from your internet provider, few times from your computer.

The solution is so simple;

1.Remove the modem from your computer.
2.Shut down your computer.
3.Turn on your computer again after at least 3mins.
4.Insert the modem in your computer and connect to the internet.
5.It might take up to a few attempts before it gets connected to the internet.

Problem solved.

Cant get two computers connected to the internet

There are to many ways try this,
Switch on the router.
Connect both pc's to the network.
NOTE Down The pc's IP Address.
Example:-
Pc1:- 192.168.1.20
Pc2:- 192.168.1.21.

If you want see pc2's hard disk on pc1.
Open the 'run' window and then type :-
\\192.168.1.21\c$
This will take some time.
It will ask you for your Pcname\Username & Password. Type them and click ok.
Your Done!
If you want to see pc1 on pc2 type:-
\\192.168.1.20\c$.

if fails
you can use remote destop application that is built-in in Windows based computers to share resources between 2 computers, and even totally control 1 remote computer:

Internet/network problems

Connecting the laptop to your network using a network cable, does this solve your Internet problems?
Does this works without the Internet connection dropping out?
If the wireless connection has a low signal, try positioning the wireless router or the laptop to get a better signal strength.
Also try reinstalling your wireless driver.
