I am having trouble sending and receiving texts from only ONE person in my contact list. We both have the same iphone 4, what should I do?

more info needed please, but if its an iphone and it is only one contact or network you are having a problem with, delete the contact from your contacts list, including any text messages or calls received from it. switch phone off then back on, re enter the contact details and try again. This can also work on other phones as well.

You may have accidentally setup Do Not Disturb for that one person's conversation. This feature is number based and could be saved through contact deletion. Open the conversation with this person, click the i button in the top right and you should see a switch that says Do Not Disturb. Now make sure that it isn't enabled.

You can block text messages via Messages app. This works really well for blocking text messages on iPhone, like some unknown spammers, advertising companies and internet marketers bothering you with promotions and offers for products that are not at all related to your interest. These steps will block only those unknown callers that you choose to block.
1. Go to the Messages app.
2. Tap on the target message from the spammer.
3. Choose "Details" on the top right hand corner and tap on it.
4. There will be phone icon and a letter "i" icon across from the number. Tap on the "i" icon.

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and then tap on "Block Contact".
Note: Once you press on Block Contact, the phone number that you just blocked won't be able to make phone calls, send text messages, or Facetime you.

the person might of blocked your number so you cant send the text to that person as the iphone 4 will reject it

Check under Settings, Messages, that your phone number is listed as \'Send and Receive\' and not an email address.



Make sure MMS Messaging is turned ON also (further down the same menu).



Under Settings, Cellular check if Cellular Data is ON.



Your carrier may only allow text and not pictures; but you should be able to send pictures from home over WIFI anyways. iOS7 and the iPhone 4 still has some issues.



If you can not send/receive pics via message at home, try deleting your local network, then re-add it (yes a bit of a pain).

Here's what you do. on your Iphone, go to settings then go to imessages and turn off imessages. after turning it off, put your sim back to your samsung. You will now get your messages. Hope it helps.

Click "New Message."Click "Text Message."


Enter the telephone number of the person (or people) you wish to send the message to. You can also select people from your contact list by clicking "Add" and then clicking "From Contacts." Select the contacts you wish to text by clicking "Mark" and then click "Done" when everyone has been selected.

Click down until you are in the "Text" box. Type in the message you wish to send. Click "Send."

it might be a software trouble do resetting the setttings the the phone wil be as new
