Depends on the vehicle... If the pulley is in the pillar of the car..you may be able to unjam it by slightly pulling and releasing several times. If it is really jammed ,the belt is probably caught or twisted in the pulley . You man have to remove the covering on the pulley disengage the inertia teeth to release the belt. If the car is real real old the works can get gummed up. In that case spray a little alcohol into the mechanism and see if it will release. Do not use any spray like wd40 ,cause it can get on the belt and ruin it's integrity, Good Luck!

How do I remove back middle seats from a r350 Mercedes Benz 4matic

Removing the middle seats from a R350 Mercedes Benz 4matic can vary depending on the model year and specific configuration of your vehicle. Here are some general steps on how to remove the middle seats from an R350 Mercedes Benz 4matic:
  1. Begin by locating the seat release lever or button. This will typically be located on the bottom of the seat, near the floor.
  2. Press the seat release lever or button and then pull the seat forward. This will release the seat from its locked position.
  3. Once the seat is released, you will need to remove the seat belt from the seat. This is typically done by pressing a button or lever on the seat belt retractor and then pulling the seat belt out of the seat.
  4. After the seat belt is removed, you can lift the seat out of the vehicle.
  5. To remove the back seat, you will need to locate the release lever or button on the seat back. This will typically be located near the top of the seat back, on the side that faces the rear of the vehicle.
  6. Press the release lever or button and then pull the seat back forward. This will release the seat back from its locked position.
  7. Once the seat back is released, you can lift it out of the vehicle.
Keep in mind that the specific steps may vary depending on the model year and configuration of your R350 Mercedes Benz 4matic. It is recommended to consult the owner's manual for your specific vehicle for more detailed instructions, or contact a professional technician for assistance.

Release latch not working to fold back seat down on a 2009 Honda accord

I had a similar issue with my 2008. It was the seat belt not releasing which was keeping the seat from folding. Check if the seat belt can be pulled out. If not, work with the seatbelt until you get it to release, and pull it all the way out and let it go back in. that fixed mine. Good luck.

How do I remove the back seat to install seat covers on my 2014 chevy cruz?

Try this for the back seat: Pull the back seat down. Unscrew all the bolts behind the back seats to release it from the brace. Pull the seat back off the rear deck and out of the car. Feel under the seat cushions for release tabs on both sides. Pull the release tabs to loosen the seat cushion. Push the seat belt buckles into the holes to prevent the seat from getting caught up in the seat cushion

Pt cruiser stuck middle seat belt

The problem:
The set belt stop has been lost so the seat belt retracts too far when the seat is laid flat. When laid flat the release mechanism lock as it should when not level. So the seat cannot be raised up as the belt is too tight and locked.
The Solution:
1) Push the two little clips to release and remove the headrests.
Pull the grey lever on the right of the seat base, lift seat base up and forward toward the front seat..
2) See two red capped leversat the back of the two seat hinges and lever them to the upward position, this releases the seat.
Rock the very heavy seat unit upwards and lift complete unit upwards.
3) Take it out of the car and turn 180% so that the back of the seat and base are in the upward position and the seat belt will pull out as it should
4) Replace the missing belt locking stop (I used a tie pin permanently fixed using super glue).
5) Fold seat back down and test then either re-fit seat unit or leave out to decrease fuel consumption..

Seat belt pasenger seat

Are you trying to say the seat belt retractor is stuck? This is in the front seat?
If it's anything like my Tahoe, you need to remove the plastic panel that covers the retractor (carefully - don't break the clips or you won't be able to put it back on). Take a large flat head screwdriver and slide it under the part where the seat belt coils up, and find a little tab - push it with the screwdriver. As long as the seat belt is not twisted up, it should retract.

97 Chrysler Seabring Conv. 2.5 L eng. Seabelts (driver and pasenger) lock up and you can't pull them out to buckle. both seats at the same time. Fuses check out o.k. Local shops don't want to deal...

It sounds like a problem with the seatbelt retractors and/or timer modules to me. The seat belt retractors and timer modules are seviced only as an assembly and probably need to be replaced. The only place to purchase new units is the dealer. It may be difficult to find a dealer that can get them for you on a 14-year-old car. I have ordered replacements that old before, but had to settle for belts that didn't match the color of the original belts because that was all that was available. You will have even further difficulty because the seat belts in the convertible are different from all the other Sebrings. The seat itself must be disassembled for repair once new seat belt retractors are located.

1997 Dodge 2500 4 wheel drive pickup - Both Front seat belts will not release. Stuck in retracted position. Fasten seat belt light is on... Both problems occurred at same time.

Seat belts lock up when the belt is pulled on as the pendulum is rocking, and it could have been released at this time on a hill. This would make the belt lock up. But it should not do that when it is coiled up as the spool is full and the lock is pushed out of the way. You may have to force it to release by pulling and jerking on the belt as you are standing out side of the truck, not moving! Use a flash light to check the pocket for debris....
