YOu have a blown fuse. The OEM radio has an error code and basic power supply that gives you an error response. Check your fuses and make sure that the main fuses and fuses for the radio and console unit are good. If it's an aftermarket unit it may be a bad cmos battery that needs to be replaced.

Radio code

In most newer vehicles, the code should be in you paper work in the glovebox or the owners manual and sometimes it's a sticker stuck to the inside your glove box and usually 4,5, or 6 numbers and you punch numbers that match your radio buttons and in that order and that should unlock the radio :o) I believe you have about three tries to get it right before the radio goes into permanent lock and in which case you would probably have to go to the dealership for them to unlock it. I hope that takes care of your problem, Jesus loves you, John 3:16-17 (KJV)

Try disconnecting one of the terminals from your car battery and reconnect it after waiting at least one minute. See if your radio resets.

What are radio codes?

  • It an electronic security code for the radio that avoids radios being stolen from cars because then they will not work once power to them is disconnected due to either their removal, disconnection of the car battery or a flat car battery.
  • Once the radio has lost it's power source it cannot be operated until power is reconnected and the code is punched into the radio using the radio controls. The code for each radio is different and is supplied with the car when new. If you do not have the code you need to contact the service department of the new car dealer that sells that brand of car who will likely charge you a fee to look it up for you if the records are still held.

93 honda accord - The Battery was disconnected

Hi; I do not believe the need the s/n from the radio. If you can contact the dealer where you baught the car new, they will have the code in their sevice department records. Just tell them the VIN for the car and they should give it to you free. When you get it it is 5 digits in length. Press and hold the code button untill you here a beep. Release the 'code' ( the am/fm ) button and enter the code numbers using the preset buttons as the numbers (1-5or else 6).

Don'let them charge you for giving you the code.

Radio won't play

You have had a loss of power to the radio (such as when the car battery is changed), or the radio has been replaced or disconnected from the car's wiring harness. This is a theft deterrent because the stolen radio is useless to someone without the activation code. This code can be obtained from a dealer or it is found on a small plastic card that is part of the original owner's materials. Number is usually 5 digits. When you turn on the radio and the readout says 'CODE ', enter the number by using the numbered station selection buttons (which are numbered 1-2-3-4-5-6). If the radio beeps when you are entering the number, start over. If it keeps beeping, you have the wrong code number (which might be the case if the radio has been replaced). Note: The 'CODE' button located on the small computer face to the right of the radio (with the date, mileage, temperature, etc) has NOTHING to do with the process or the radio 'CODE'.

I work for a hotel and we have about 6 2 way

Here are some things to check:
1) Clean your battery contacts with a pencil eraser. (Both on the radio and charger)
2) Check the date code of the "new" batteries and see if they are less than 2 years old. (3-digit number usually with the first number being the year, the next two the week of the year. ex: 927 would be 2009 the 27th week)
3) The radios must be turned off when on the charger.
4) If using drop-in chargers try charging the battery alone in the charger.
5) Are all the chargers lights blinking? This can be a sign of a bad charger, shorted battery or wrong battery. You mentioned recently replacing them, are they the same chemistry as the previous batteries?

You did not mention the type of radio, so we cannot be more specific in our troubleshooting, but this should get you started. The beeping you are experiencing is most-likely the low battery beep. Your batteries are not getting charged. The above questions should help you narrow down the problem. If you need more assistance post another question and we'll try to help further.

Once i get my codes for my 2033 acural tl, how

Code is in numbers. Look at preset buttons on the radio. They are numbered 1-6. Turn on car key, enter code #'s on preset buttons. This must be done 5 or 6 times in a row, till the radio unlocks. This is for anit-theft purposes.
