if only happens on certain calls it could either be the handset itself, a week point on all corded phones is the cable between the handset and the body of the phone. whilst talking to someone on a call wiggle the cord where it enters the handset, does it crackle if not do the same where the cord enters the phone body, if no crackle likely not phone.
next select a line if you have more than 1 line note which 1 and dial 17070. this will BT autotest the line. if more than 1 line on system do same for all lines. check with your system admin if there are quick codes to select individual lines, eg dial 9 for any line or 81 for line 1 82 for line 2 etc .
if you get crackle still on 1 of the lines get your maintainer to check the lione at the cable head where lines enter building
working! presume u mean phone has dial tone and your able to dial out. Dial 17070 to verify your number. Possible u have crossed line. Hope this helps - BTscott
Dear Sir .
Currently your mobile ringing tone is set at low ringing volume level.Thats why you are facing this problem. To increase your ring tone sound follow these step :
Select Menu > Settings > Tone settings and from the available
options:
Select Ringing volume . Set Ringing volume to level 2 or above, your phone rings with the volume ascending from level 1 to the level for incoming calls.
I hope this will works for you.
Regards.
Rizwan.
Only 3 things make it not ring, there's a switch for the ringer on the left side of the phone, it needs to be programmed to ring in the 40x's, or the ringer is defective. If it rings on the intercom (with the AUTO ANS) turned off, it must be programming.
I had the same problem with mine. when I would go to tone settings every time I tried to hit ring tone it would turn off the phone and restart, by the way in ring tone it was blank. No matter what I did it wouldn't work. So I went to settings then restore factory settings entered the code. It reset the factory settings, then when I went back to tone settings the ring tone said Nokia Tune so I hit enter and it gave a list of all other ring tones, then it worked so my phone finally rings.... Hope it works for you.
Uh oh, I just saw this. Is it in the main board 101-108 exts, or one of the expansion boards?
Ringing is set 3 ways, by the switch on the side of the phone, by programming, by features. First, make sure the switch is in the ring position and have someone call you on the intercom. If it rings, have someone transfer an outside call to you. If it rings, try dialing 790 on the intercom to reset station features. If none of this works, It's time to look at ring programming. It's done from the system programming mode at the main phone or from a PC. It's program codes 408-410 or section 3.2 from the Maintenance console.
The way 4 line phones work is that you need 4 lines on every jack that is connected to your phone.
You see the light probably because one of the phones has line conected and you see line appearance.
