Ive tried different types of paper, the only paper it allows is just one sheet of normal printing paper. how can i adjust the settings to this?
When a printer indicated paper jam, it means one of its sensors does not indicate a movement of paper, where it expects it. In only rare occasions the sensor is defect, but most of the time here is really a jam. This must not be a complete sheet of paper. Can be a little scrap left somewhere in the printer. Sometimes a paperclip fell in or just a paper tray was not put in place. Please open the printer and look careful using a flash light, to see if you can find anything that does not belong in the printer. Then switch it off and really unplug it for a few seconds. Reinsert the plug and switch on. If the error keeps coming back you should call a service centre, although ig you have to send it in for repairs, a new printer is probably cheaper, unless it is still under warranty.

If the paper jams, do
the following:
1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output
tray or sheet feeder.
2. To eject the jammed paper, try turning the Epson
Stylus NX400 off and then back on.
If that doesn't work and paper is stuck inside, turn off the Epson Stylus
NX400. Open the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, close the
scanner, and turn the Epson Stylus NX400 back on.
Carefully remove the jammed photo paper. Gently pull the paper up and out of the paper feeder tray.
Reload the paper into the tray. Stack the paper on a flat surface and then carefully slide the paper stack straight into the paper feeder tray---along and aligned with the right side of the tray. Secure the stack in place by sliding the left "edge guide" against the paper stack.

Press the "OK" button to resume printing. If you had a "Paper is jammed in the printer..." error message displayed on the control panel LCD, pressing "OK" should also clear the message.
Pull the paper from the printer, if the status message reappears and/or the printer doesn't print, and check the paper for folds, buckling and curled edges or corners. Also check the sheets for sticking. If any of your sheets stick or have damage, remove them from your photo paper stack and replace with new sheets. Reload the paper and press "OK" to try again.
