The Plantronics S11 headset system is meant to plug into the handset jack on your phone not the headset jack. Check the connection on the S11 to make sure the handset jack is where it is plugged into at.

Here are a few suggestions from Plantronics if you are not getting a dial tone:

Make sure all cable connections are correct and firmly in place.

Pay special attention that handset cord is properly connected.

Ensure AC power adapter is connected and power is on.
Make sure you have pressed the headset button and the headset indicator is on.

Make sure the telephone handset is off-hook.

Adjust listen volume control.

Adjust the compatibility slide switch.

Ensure that the headset is centered on your ear.

My s11 does not have a dail tone

Make sure that the S11's AC adapter is plugged in so that it has power. Check the compatibility setting on the left side of the base, the typical setting is number five, however you can try it on other settings to see which works better for you. And then you should get a dial tone when you lift the handset receiver off hook, and then you will have to hang the handset receiver up to end the call.

Recieving calls ok ,we cannot hear anything, yet the caller can hear our voices,tried dailing out, same we can`t hear dail tone yet they can hear us, unplugged all lines put in phone to main line still no...

pls make sure that your cell microphone is working.. if not get the microphone replaced..
to chck the microphone, do any sound sound recording and play it back... u will know that it is working if u hear the recording, if no sound comes, sorry to say but your microphone's gone..

I can not send a fax with samsung scx-4521f

Hi,

do a simple test. press the onhook button to you hear dail tone. try key in your mobile number and see if you got the call.

if all the above is yes there is no issue with the modem.

if you did not hear any dail tone. check your phone line is it working fine.

make sure that your phone line is not hunting line. fax machine does not work with hunting line. only direct line.
