Unable to play Blue-ray disc on two Samsung products: Ht-c6500 5.1 & Portable BD writer SE-506

Have tested two different Blueray movies, none of them will start playing on either of the devices. * Both devices play regular DVD with no problem. * No country code issue. * The Ht-c6500 5.1 did start one film (Avatar) two years ago. Have not tried Blueray since then. * Ht-c6500 5.1 states "loading" for about two minnutes, then displays "play but will not start. * SE-506 claims list title of movie, but claims that "disc is empty"

Blue ray will not play dvd but will play blue ray samsung db p1500

Blue ray uses a blue laser spectrum and DVD uses the red spectrum. The blueray player must have dual capability to play both red and blue spectrum discs. If it has been and is broken, contact the manufacturer for the 1 year warranty. If it has never played DVD then most likely its not compatible.

Won't play new blue ray disk

Will your machine play standard movie DVD discs? if it does then the laser pickup assembly is the problem. The blue ray discs require a higher precision tracking to offer better resolution.

My ps3 iant reading games or blu ray discs how can i fix this myself?

I've been told that Blue Ray movies don't work on PS3 unless you use an HDMI cable; but I haven't tested that. Also, some Blue-ray on PS3 load as movies, some load as games depending on the content. So check the automatic play feature, see if you can select the BD from the video section. On your Xross media bar, go to videos and see if there is a blue disc (BD-rom), click X.

Also make sure that the movie is actually blue-ray. Some old HD movies are sold off on eBay, etc as Blue ray when they aren't. Check it on Blueray.com, if the movie isn't listed it may be HD only.

We have a samsung blue ray player BD-P1400. We've had it a year and it acted up from day 1. Now it won't play blue ray discs - it says "cannot play disc".

http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=mp3audiovideo&type=blu_ray&subtype=blu_raydiscplayers&model_nm=BD-P1400&language=&dType=D&mType=FM&vType=R&prd_ia_cd= This is the link to Samsung for firmware updates. All manufacturers have had several updates moving on with disc technology. If you can't burn this to a disc as data, then email samsung and they will send you an update disc. Next, if you don't have one, get a Laser Lense Cleaner. Preferably one that uses liquid, and run that thru a couple times. Clean your players often! it's a good habit to get in to. Hope this helps

Samsung bd-p1400 will not play certain disks

My dark Knight DVD was only playing the first 4 screens and I burned the firmware upgrade to a CD. It took about 20 minutes from the time I inserted it for it to be complete, then it stopped at 4 again but took about 30 seconds and it began to play perfect.
