PE error.
Pressure sensor error. Cause: the sensor switch assembly is out of order.
Check the pressure switch -the system that determines correct water level in the drum.
If its giving an incorrect indication to the program timer machine will either overfill, refuse to fill or refuse to spin.
Its an air operated diaphragm switch triggered by rising air pressure induced by the entry of water into an airtight vessel attached to the base of the drum.
It tells the program timer that the water has reached the correct level, allowing it to proceed to the water heating stage in the cycle.
Power off.
drag machine out onto the floor.
remove back cover and top cover.
The pressure switch is a round item about 3 inches across with several wires and a thin rubber pipe attached.
It generally sits just under the top cover. Disconnect the thin rubber pipe from the switch and blow down through it to clear any blockage.
Switch itself may be faulty but its more likely the pressure pipe or the vessel attached to the other end of the pipe is blocked.
Some machines have the pressure vessel integrated as part of the filter unit, with a pressure chamber moulded into the top of the filter body.
Remove the pressure vessel, put a small nut or screw in it, fill it with water and shake vigorously till any crud or residue is removed.
Refit all parts, check that joints and connections are water tight.
Also check the filter itself - generally located behind a panel at the foot of the machine.
Some are obvious like little square hatches and some are hidden behind the trim panel at the foot of the machine.
Once panel is removed the filter should be visible. Its generally a circular plastic fitting which unscrews in an anticlockwise direction.
Some hotpoint, indesit and ariston filters are located in the big black sump hose
(the one that leaves the bottom of the outer drum and connects to the pump).
Power off.
drag machine out onto the floor.
remove back cover or tip machine up at an angle.
Locate sump hose, remove the tensioner clip by squeezing the tabs together with a large pair of pliers or vise grips.
Remove the hose.
Take out filter and clean. Be prepared for spillage of water.
May help if the machine is tilted backwards at an angle.

Well I'm going to do my best to fix your washer. First unplug the washer and turn off the water. If you have a shop vac take the drain hose out of the drain, and through the drain hose vacuum the water out of your washer. If you don't have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps . Then facing the washer locate the two screws. They will either be in the front or rear of the control panel and back them out far as you can. Once you have done that pull the control panel slightly forward, and tilt it back on the hinges. Now unplug the lid switch wire but don't forget to plug it back when your done. Next locate at the rear of the washer body the two gold clips then push forward, and take careful note of how they fit. Then pop them out with a screw driver tilt the washer body forward at 45 degree angel and walk forward with the body, and set it down. Now you will see the white pump and motor assembly. You should see two clips holding the pump to the motor pop them off, and pull the pump off the motor shaft. Now if you fell the need to remove the pump use the radiator hose clamp. take them and clamp the hose coming from the tub but its not necessary for the repair. Next disconnect the wiring harness from the motor (note the position of the harness for reassembly). Remove the two 5/16 inch screws from the motor clamps and pop the clamps off. Once that is complete, remove the motor put the new coupling on the motor and transmission shaft. I use a socket and a hammer

Hi and weclome to FixYa, I am Kelly
An F54 code is a motor over current fault. This is caused by a severe load on the motor or a bad motor bearing.
To remove the error press Pause/Cancel twice. Before removing the error.. try and find out why the motor is hard to turn. There may be an article of clothing stuck at the top of the inner tub or between the inner and outer tub. (
If the unit has previously had an ld code (long Drain) this can also cause high motor currents if the water level switch allows the washer to spin when not completely empty. Usually an ld code is associated with something stuck in the pump / pump inlet or possibly a bad pump.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
