Why on my CC4 scooter does it intermittently fail to start (forwards or reverse)? The green status light flashes 6 or 7 times and all the other electrics work fine and the batteries show fully charged
I have tried checking all plug connectors for tightness, battery connections, (All other electrics work fine).Status light flashes 6 or 7 times (not sure which) and also the brake coils don't energise. With the exception of this intermittent problem (Approx. once a day whether scooter warm or cold)everything is fine.

The code 6 failure code is the toggle throttle [engager] isn't in the neutral position when power is applied to the scooter. If the engager doesn't return to the neutral position as soon as you turn the key on the scooter would start to move, that woul
Engager 1. Check connections on red, white and black wires at crimps and soldered joints. (Flash Code 7) 2. Use meter to check for: - White & Red: 5k1 + 10% - Red & Black: 2.5k1 (approx.) - White & Black: 2.5k1 (approx.) 3. With meter between Red & Black, squeeze engager forward. Resistance should go from 2.5k down to 01 smoothly. 4. With meter between White & Black, squeeze engager reverse. Resistance should go from 2.5k down to 0 1 smoothly. 5. Check voltages (with key on): - Forward - Red- 4.5V + .1V - Neutral - Black- 2.5V + 0.1V - Reverse - White - .5V +.1V If using a Test Harness - White & Red: 5k, Forward - Red & Brown: 2-5k, Reverse - White & Brown: 2-5k. 1. Use Red & Brown squeeze engager slowly forward 25 down to 0 slowly. 2. Use White & Brown squeeze engager slowly reverse 25 down to 0 slowly. Make sure dial speed is set to10.
I need to know how many flashes you are getting of the green light. i.e. 4 flashes pause 4 flashes
Also check the freewhell lever again to make sure it is in the drive position Hope this helps
the green flashing light indicates an error with the scooter. Count the number of flashes 4 flashes pause 4 flashes pause etc and your manual should give you the meaning of the flashes Check to make sure that you are not in freewheel move the lever at the back of the scooter up and down a few times and make sure you leave it in drive mode turn on the power and see if the light stops flashing and the scooter will operate correctly Hope this helps
