SOURCE: Bios for Asus M2N68-LA motherboard to run on Win

If this is an OEM HP motherboard, you most likely won't find support on the Asus website since they don't support OEM motherboards. Asus only supports retail motherboards. You need to determine which HP/Compaq pc system this motherboard came installed in, then check the OEM vendors website to see if XP drivers are available. You won't find them on the normal system driver page since it was only shipped from HP/Compaq with Windows Vista installed. One such pc system that used this motherboard is the Presario SR5019UK. I'm sure there were other pc models that used it as well.

Motherboard specs

A good place to start is the HP talk forums.

Driver vga download

Asus Support > Asus M2N68-AM SE2 motherboard > Main Support page,

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M2N68AM/#support

Click on the Download tab.
(Knowledge Base / Download / Memory/Device Support / etc)

Click on the blue Down Arrow, to the right of - Please select OS
Click on the Operating System you are using.

In the list click on the + sign next to Chipset.

IF, you do not have a graphics card installed, you are using the Integrated Graphics of the motherboard.

The Integrated Graphics (OnBoard Graphics...Same/same), is in the Nvidia GeForce 7025 chipset.
The - Northbridge chip - of the Motherboard chipset.

Need guidance in downloading AND installing, post back in a Comment. Or click on Reply at end of solution, and post.

Would like to ask one question?
What makes you think the Driver is going to fix your problem?
NOT, stating it won't Josephkate Sobrio, just asking.......

Something I would like to impart as the last statement.......

No Signal, or Power Saver Mode, or Sleep Mode; means the monitor is working. The computer is NOT.

[Also shows the monitor cable to be good. An often overlooked item]

"But LED's light, and fans spin? I think I hear the Harddrive spinning?"

Means NOTHING........

A) If ALL of the LED's were on at once, they would use less than 1 Watt of power. (Light Emitting Diode.......they ARE a light)

B) EACH fan uses 2 to 3 Watts of power.

C) A typical CPU (Processor) can use 51 to 130 Watts of power.
Just depends on what Processor (CPU) it is.

Point?
A Power Supply with a weak voltage power rail, will have enough power to light those simpy LED's, and maybe spin fans; but will NOT have enough power to turn the Processor on.......

No Processor operating, no 'Brain'.
No 'Brain' operating, NO computer.
No computer, no display on monitor......

ASUS M2N68-AM SE2 Motherboard screen flickering

Hello the homepage is here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM2Plus/M2N68AM/#download

Please select your windows system 32 or 64 bit.
Any file can be downloaded by open the driver folder, and click on global for download.
The file needs to be unziped before you install.

I think you have to upgrade the chipset driver.

You maybe need to uninstall the old driver before you install the new.

Check also the screen cable for proper connection.
Try to connect the screen to another pc to check if it is the screen that`s the problem.

You can also buy a graphic card to add on the mainboard for better performance.

Good luck

I can´t not find xp drivers for my pavilion a1720n

Windows XP and 7 are not suported at all for your PC, You can only use Vista with supported drivers.
You may be able to download drivers direct from the chipset makers.
Your motherboard chipsets are..
Northbridge: Intel 945G
Southbridge: ICH7DH
The motherboard is the ASUS P5LP-LE
You can download some of your drivers here http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-020683.htm
