I'm afraid if the power was lost during the update, the TV has a real software problem. But you don't have the tools to put in a complete set of new firmware. When the TV is still working, the processor and the program can manage the upload to the memory and after a restart everything should work fine. But no perfect firmware in the TV now that can do the upload rot the flash memory. A technician has to connect the TV to a computer and flash the firmware manually.
The best thing is to contact a certified service centre from luxor and ask them.

Thank you very much!, I will contact a technician and see if they can fix it. Its a rare tv here so i dont think there are many service centers who deals with Luxor. But I will give it a try!

Don't look to the name on the outsider. Any tech centre should be capable of repairing the TV. But first ask them what they will charge, because the new ones are becoming cheaper and cheaper. And with a new one you get at least one year of warranty.

SOURCE: My flat screen tv shuts off and standby led blinks 13 times.

Our $2700 less than 3 year old Sony LCD KDL-40XBR5 did the same thing 2 weeks ago. Sony was anything but helpful. They said to take it to a repair shop or we could send them $550 and they would replace it with a $800 set. Repairman says that it is a panel and the part has been discontinued by Sony. The 46" sets had the same problem and were recalled but not the 40" screen. We stopped on the way home and purchased a 40"

SOURCE: Sony KDL-40S20L1 Flashing Standby Led, No pic, No Sound

Hi, If all else fails, try do a hard reset. You can verify from your manual, but in some units, this is merely unplugging the unit from mains for a couple of hours. Try again, if it still shows error codes (blinking lights) you probably have to seek the services of a qualified professional. Hope this be of some help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

SOURCE: Power Up Problem

You have a 8.6v supply error according to the 7 error code being displayed, what you can try is when the set goes to blinking disconnect the Y sustain board (if looking at the tv from the back the board on the left) from the upper left side of the power supply, if the error code stops then you know your Y sustain board is pulling down your power supply and causing the error, if the error code continues you have a probelm with your Logic Board (located under your Small Signal Board) disconnect this from the Y sustain board and see if the error code stops if it does you know that the Logic board is bad, if the error code is still blinking then the 8.6v supply line from the Power supply is faulty and the Power Supply needs to be replaced

SOURCE: Panasonic remote and volume/channel buttons do not work

My son put a penny in the SD card slot of my Pansonic flat screen tv. I finally got the penny out but now the volume and tv controls do not work. I can change the channels through my cable box but that is it. The volume does not work on my cable remote or the flatscreen. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem?? Thanks, Josh

SOURCE: tv wont turn on. power button blinks

if your tv is blinking you are still okay but your set needs service, maybe some board or circut is defective. this happens with panasonics, they have a blink timer. they blink a certain number of times. this blinking feature is called safety mode, you find the part that is fualty according to the number of blinks, you can find out what fualty part is cuasing the tv not to go on by downloading a service manual in pdf format or finding the blink codes, how many times does it blink count it carefully i may have a manual here and maybe can tell you what to replace.

I have Luxor 55in TV. The red light that works remote has gone where do I buy new one please?

Question edited for clarity and spelling.

The red light on your television is nothing to do with the remote, it is just a standby light. It is a small red LED. The most likely issue is the batteries in the remote. Here is a trick. Use a smartphone with a front facing selfie camera. Point the remote at the phone and press any of the buttons. On the camera screen you should see the sensor on the front of the remote blink red. If it doesn't, change the batteries and try again.

Hi my luxor tv won't come off standby and the red light flashes 35 times? Model number LUX0140001B/01

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty. 35 times flash can be considered as continuous.

Hi Vic

From what I can gather on the link below (page 17), the on/off button appears to be on the back panel left side. Push the centre of the button for two seconds and you're good to go.

Hope this helps.

Hi, Thinking about getting a new t.v with HD technology which main purpose i guess will be for x box. anyone heard or know anything about this brand/make. Luxor 32" 1080P LCD HD Ready TV. Selling...

Well, I cant understand your price of £24.9. I'm not too familiar with Luxor but I would say do some customer research on that brand, not only that brand but every brand your intrested in. 1080P is great, LCD is soso, if you can afford it, go for LED. LED is far better than LCD and they allow you to have 120Hz if not more for smoother clear pictures. I also recommend you to look at the back of the LCD Luxor, usually on display models the retailers try to be tricky and plug it through some HDMI cables. This enhances the pictures by far compaired to normal AV cables. Other than that, good luck in finding a tv.

Recomendation:
LED TV, with 120Hz or more refresh rate (Great for gaming), 1080p (3d is worthless at this point since you cant really do anything with it). Good Reliable Brand: Sony, Samsung (cheaper than sony and first in the led business), Panasonic, and some others that I cant think of at the moment.
