The oil light will come on if there is no oil or very little oil in the engine. You say you had the oil changed a week ago. Check the oil plug in the engine pan and see if it is very loose or missing.and leaking oil Also check the oil filter to see if it is loose and leaking oil. If you changed the oil using a company then you could have a complaint with them if something is loose or missing. If you changed it yourself you may have to say its a learning experience. Hope you never drove very far with no oil your engine just might be ok.
sounds like the bottom end is cracked and u may need a gasket between the head and bottom end the smoke means u need new rings my opinion sell it n save for somethin better
Generally at the drive end of the starter exists an O-ring that becomes dry and it generally seals itself to the crankcase housing. Use a little penetrating oil and start to wiggle the starter and work the oil into the the area around the starter drive end while applying some pressure to force the starter out of the housing.
Hello,
Please open the oil container after draining the oil, inside you will see the valve that attaches with two screws to the top hull area. Unscrew and be careful with the gasket. Replace with new valve and repeat process backwards.
Thanks,
to change fluid, take out the bottom plug;should be a flat head screwdriver fitting place something to catch old fluid under the lower unit, then take out top plug,it should drain right out... then from the bottom... fill the lower unit till fluid starts to come out of the top hole then put bottom plug back in, then top plug back in and your good to go..when you have the plugs out check the seals on the plugs and replace if needed...that will insure no water can get in..as far as the fuel mixture you can google that info
Most likely it is your ATF container is leaking were the two hoses on the bottom connect to it. Also there is an o-ring on the cap that can be replaced. Replace the hose clamps at the bottom with quality claps with rounded over edges. Try this part number at Bavarian Autosport, CL 16-25. Here is the BMW part number for the o-ring: 32411128333. The o-ring on the oil filter cover comes with and is replaced with the filter.
