(Important: If you are using Gmail with your Google Account, it will not be possible to change your Gmail username after you've registered. To change the username, you will first need to delete Gmail from your account and then use a different, non-Gmail address for your Google Account. If you don't want to do that, you can also create another Google Account with a different Gmail username.)

In case you don't use Gmail with your Google account, you can change the email address on your account by following the steps below:
1.Visit the Google Accounts homepage
2.Sign in to your account.
3.Go to "Email" section and click "Edit"
4.Enter the new email address you wish to set and enter your current password
5.Click "Save email address"

After saving the changes, you will receive a verification email on the new email address you just entered. Click on the verification link in that mail to confirm changes. At the same time, Google will also send an email on the old email ID notifying that changes have been made in your account.

You can't change the user ID as far as I know but you can send and receive emails via Gmail under a different identiity. i.e you can be [email protected]

If that is what you are trying to do then please come back to me.

To my knowledge you can make more than one gmail account on the same computer. But you should make a new account in something like Firefox or a non google browser.

I restored my entire system due to a problem I was having but the backup I used was too old than my and used a different id ie [email protected] I was using [email protected]......... how do I change...

There is no way of transferring you domain of email account and the only way of transferring old emails is archiving them and then importing them into the new account. I would not recommend using Microsoft Emails Domains instead i would use Googles Domain because they improve there systems and user interface very frequently.

I have two questions for Milton if possible:both on computer glitches, two different computers

For the Optiplex:
Did you buy the exact same motherboard for the Optiplex? When you put the CPU in the motherboard, did you apply a fresh coat of Thermal Paste on the CPU and Heatsink? If not, that is like metal touching metal and it will short out or get hot and shut off. I don't think it's your drive. When the Thermal Paste around the CPU and HeatSink has dried up or is too thin to keep the unit cool it will run hot and shut off.

LOL, I hate Vista too, and Windows 7 is just a tab bit better, so now they will be forcing Windows 8 on the general public in the coming months. Very few companies, government entities, school systems, etc. bought into Vista or Windows 7 and nobody but consumers buying computers at retail store will buy into Windows 8 unless it is as good as Windows XP.

For the Acer Desktop if you are using Outlook as your email client then Internet Explorer might be having an issue. One common fix was to install Mozilla Firefox, Opera & Google Chrome internet browsers. When you install Mozilla Firefox set it as the default browser, you can always go back and start Internet Explorer and set it back as your default browser. Then try opening your emails and clicking the links and try your usb flash drive.

Try downloading Mozilla Firefox, Opera and Google Chrome. Unlike Internet Explorer they install in less than 5 minutes and they are faster and safer than Internet Explorer.

Go to www.google.com and in the search box type: "Download Mozilla Firefox" (without the quotes). Download and Install Mozilla Firefox from Mozilla's website. Do the same thing for Opera and Google Chrome.

I've put the links of each one below so if you like you can just click on them to go to their site to do the download and install.

For the Acer, try turning off User Account Control if installing the other browsers above did not solve the issue.

Below is a link that will show you how to do it.

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account".
    disable_uac_3.gif
  3. Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account.
  4. Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.
    disable_uac_4.gif
  5. Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change security settings" link.
    disable_uac_5.gif
  6. In the "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer". Click on the Ok button.
    disable_uac_6.gif
  7. You will be prompted to reboot your computer. Do so when ready.
    disable_uac_7.gif
In order to re-enable UAC just select the above checkbox and reboot.

Hi

Have you tried using a different explorer,eg Firefox,or maybe Google Chrome.

It shouldnt really be a plug-in,but firefox should resolve all plug-in issues. You can download firefox from the link below. Hope this helps.
