Im using a Philips PH301s Universal Remote. Trying to find the 4 digit remote code for a Samsung DVD VR375 DVD Recorder/VCR
SOURCE: region free - Samsung DVD-VR375 DVD Recorder / VCR
I have managed to get a solution to this now. I have a region 4 as in Australia so depending on where you are you'll need to try the correct region. It worked for me first time. Point 4/ below my region code appeared in the top right corner for a couple of seconds not the top left! Once you've completed below turn the machine on again and stick in one of the dvds that would not work before.
Cheers Stewart
1/Turn machine on without disc inside
2/Press menu button
3/Enter region code (See below for list)
4/A highlighted 'region area number' will appear in the upper left corner (some players)
5/Press 9 to change the region number to multi-regional
6/Turn machine off
R1 - 29334

SOURCE: Need remote control code
Your universal remote should have included a handbook that has some of the codes of many products. Samsung will be on this list and offer a few or dozens to try. If those don't work (after trying each one! so fun!) it has several paragraphs on how to use the remote in tandem with your player to search and 'lockin' the code. I have found the lower priced Universal remotes ($10.) do not always solve the problem. I took the cheaper one back and got the next step up for $20. it works like a charm. You never really 'learn' the number because you are randomly hunting for the code that either turns your equipment on or off. Does this help?
SOURCE: i need the code in order to program my samsung dvd
Code depends on universal remote, there should be a manual attached when you buy a remote
SOURCE: how do i program my insignia NS POP42 plasma tv
Instructions for programming your universal remote should be included in package with the device. Codes for many remotes can be found at InsigniaProducts.com. Just search for your model number, NS-PDP42.
