These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. Viewing it in "Mosaic" or "Magazine" will make surf easy.

SOURCE: 4 blinking lights

I fixed it myself!
I bit the bullet and ordered a replacement Power Board for AUS$290 and swapped it out myself.
Only took ten minutes, most of that time was removing and replacing the 101 screws holding the back panel on!
Working fine again now.
I did sit the two boards side by side and noticed the new one had moved some of the micro components from the back of the board to the front plus some other small component changes.
If your handy with a screw driver and have some technical knowhow I recommend having a go at fixing it yourself as it wasn't hard and probably saved $200 in service charges (all this assuming you are out of warranty!)

SOURCE: Model TC-32LX700 Power indicator light on from is

Problem is caused by voltage irregularity. Pulled plug for an hour and then plugged it back in. TV reset and it works fine. If this does not work it needs a TV technician.

2009 Panasonic Plasma TV TC-P65S1 LG92450223. I turn the TV on I hear fans coming on but then stop. Screen doesn't come on and I get constant red blinking light every 3 or 4 seconds. ?

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary

Panasonic Viera TC-P65S1 No Picture, Red Light Stays on for 10 Seconds then Clicks Off

Need power board. Unplug then Have to remove all screws on back. The big board that the plug goes to is power board. Get serial number and find on Amazon or Internet. Usually around 150$ replace. It is easier than sounds. Any time power will not stay on or will not come on it is the power board. Tics are now just like computers. If u can change a hard drive u can do this

I have a panasonic flat panel tv 1080i. 46" I think. When I press the power button, the red light comes on, then it starts blinking. And the TV never turns on, but the red standby light continues to blink....

the s1 models have been having several problems. it really depends on how many times the red led is blinking. panasonic uses a certain number of blinks to tell you what board has failed. the s1 models have just recently come out. therefore your tv should still be under manufacturer warranty. call panasonic and see if there is a servicer in your area. our company is in dallas texas.
