The S2700 uses the EN-EL19 battery. There are inexpensive third-party chargers for the EN-EL19 with the US plug (and car cigarette lighter). One such device is http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Compact-Battery-Charger-Set-for-Nikon-EN-EL19-with-Smart-LED-Indicator/6276459/product.html?searchidx=1

With a little searching you can find a "european ti american adapter" that will plug in the wall here to charge the device.

SOURCE: Nikon Coolpix 4100 software

Download the coolpix 4100 software here. I'm pretty sure it works for any coolpix but I just used it for my 4100. I called Nikon's pacific repair facility and was directed to the website by a rep. This is actually faster than the original installation software.

Hi,

There is a possibility that the lithium batteries are dead and won't charge up. You can go out and purchase 4 AA rechargeable batteries and put them in the battery pack and see if they will charge up.

If you still get a problem with the camera not charging, take the camera back and have it replaced.

NOTE: rechargeable batteries lose their life after a short while so it is a good idea to carry spares around with you.

Regards.

What charger do I nee d for a Nikon coolpix camera s3600

The Camera does have a USB connector and I would bet you can charge it with a computer when connected to USB. There is also and external AC powered adapter : https://www.nikonusa.com/en/nikon-products/product/power-chargers/mh-66-battery-charger.html

Please understand in some cases you have to ENABLE USB charging as a setting in the camera. If you have the camera and the cable I think you could save $ and charge it with the computer.

Nikon coolpix s205My camera wont charge any more. I had it stored for about 6 months and when I plug in the charger the light pulses with a green light then a solid green light for a couple seconds th

The manual says, when the light is flashing green:
The USB cable or Charging AC Adapter is not properly connected, or there is a problem with the battery. Disconnect the USB cable or unplug the Charging AC Adapter and correctly connect it again, or change the battery.
So make sure you are using a good USB cable, the cable is put in correct. (far enough and straight) And I hope you did not put in the battery the wrong way around, because that could cause damage to the camera and battery.
Make sure the battery and the camera do have clean and shiny contacts. Only to clean with a dry cloth.
And if the problem stays, perhaps you should accept the battery is dead.
You could try to charge it on an external charger, if you have one. And start and stop charging, if you think it is not yet charging.
But if after just a few attempts nothing changes, I think you should buy a new battery.

I NEED AN INSTRUCTION BOOK FOR THE NIKON COOLPIX S4000 CHROME CAMERA. I ALSO NEED TO FIND WHERE TO GET CHARGING CORD, AND OTHER ITEMS BECAUSE I ONLY WAS GIVEN THE CAMERA ALONE AND KNOW NOTHING OF HOW IT...

Hi there

to start, the user manual is available for download at http://support.nikonusa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/16763/session/L2F2LzEvdGltZS8xMzIzMDYwMTE4L3NpZC9iaENDY09Law%3D%3D

just click on the above link to get there.

As for Charging cord and others the following optional accessories exist.
EH-62D AC adapter. (charging cord)
EH-68P AC adapter (charger, you can use either, the charger or the cord)
MG-63 Battery charger (External battery charger)
EN-EL10 rechargeable battery
EG-CP14 Audio video cable.
UC-E6 USB cable.

an easy place to find and order these is ebay.
just take the Part number and put it on the search on ebay to find deals on them.

It won't start up. We put it to the charger and the green light blinks. Is it charging?

Welcome to FixYa.

If the charge lamp blinks slowly (green)
-battery is charging.
If the light is off
- battery is not charging.
- Also whe charging is complete, the charge lamp stops blinking and turns off.
If the charge lamp flikers (green)
- the ambient temperature is not suited to charging. Cganhe the battery indoors with an ambient temperature of 5C to 35C (41F to 95F)
- The USB cable or charging AC adapter is not properly connected, or there is a problem with the battery. Disconnect the USB cable or unplug the Charging C adapter and correctly connect it again, or chage the battery.

Please let me know if you have any questions and if this solution was helpful.

Thank you for using FixYa.

My Nikon S4000 (red) won't charge. I've tried plugging and unplugging the cable in the socket. I've made sure the cable is connected properly into the camera's port. I've tried charging via the computer...

The battery itself won't charge in-camera like a cell phone-- you'd need to remove the battery and plug it into the supplied charger (EH-68P). You may have an ac adapter for the camera that basically would just be used to power the camera without a battery or for long periods of time without relying on the battery. It wouldn't be used to charge the camera.

I have the charger, but lost the book with how to recharge. Please help Thank you.

There is an error in the instructions provided in the User's Manual and Quick Start Guide for the Coolpix S3000 and S4000. The information contained in the manual and guide instruct the user to plug the UC-E6 USB cable into the camera first before plugging into the AC power supply. This process will not switch the camera power on automatically.

Please follow the steps below in this order only * :
1 - Connect the USB cable UC-E6 to the Charging AC Adapter EH-68P.
vinayak_nair_3.jpg
2 - Plug the Charging AC Adapter into an electrical outlet.

vinayak_nair_4.jpg3 - Be sure that the camera is turned off and then connect the USB cable UC-E6 to the camera.
vinayak_nair_5.jpgWhen the green LED starts blinking slowly after a few seconds, charging has begun. When the LED goes off, charging is complete.
* If the charging light fails to come on at all, please sure to follow the steps in the correct order detailed above. Connecting with the incorrect order may result in a "no led light" situation.
