Control board has gone bad....
What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.
To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.

Ok, what I found out is that there are codes built into the front panel. If you hold the top left and right buttons for 5 seconds, the fridge will reset. If there are no issues, the panel goes blank. If there is a dash in the right side of the panel, there is an issue with the fridge side. In the left, freezer side. The dash indicates a defrost problem. Only a couple of things can cause this. 1. Sensor 2. Heater 3. Fan, 4. control board.

Check your owner's manual. There may be a "reset process" that you can perform in order to restore the refrigerator properly after a power outage. Otherwise, there may be an issue with the "main electronic control board". If this is the case, contact an appliance service company. If within warranty, contact Samsung!

Sounds like the fan unit is faouling with ice. The solution is to remove the whole of the contents and then the units inside at the rear. Defrost same and re assemble. Its not that hard if you remove the light difuser first and the two screws. Mark the difuser for top. Then ease out the unit and remove after taking out the electrical connections. They fit only one way. The lower unit has four screws. Two under covers. Easy to unclip. The ice seal may mean that it is not that easy to remove. Defrost both the units with a hairdryer or similar and clear insulation from the fan drain. Re assemble when clear and as dry as you can. The problem will come back so be aware that you have to repeat the procedure when the fan gives signs of fouling. Paul.

I simply press and hold the top left and top right buttons (which are for the temp in each section) for about 5 seconds to reset. It's fine until the next power failure...and I don't want that when I'm on vacation.........
