Charger failure please help me what the fault on the ups

You need to determine if it is a charger problem or a problem in the Nuvi.

If you have the AC wall charger, plug that into your Nuvi. If the unit boots normally, then you can discount that there is a problem with the Nuvi. Does the Nuvi power up on its own internal battery with the charger disconnected? When you change the fuse and it blows, is the charger plugged into the Nuvi?

Try changing the fuse and powering up the charger without it being plugged into the Nuvi. If the fuse still blows, then the fault is with the charger. Please also be aware that the charger converts +12VDC from the car battery to +5VDC to power the Nuvi. Some chargers can fail and provide +12VDC directly to the Nuvi. This can damage the Nuvi and will certainly blow the fuse.

How long have you had the phone?

Sounds like hardware failure.

If its still under warranty you could take it in for repair.

try turning phone on while plugged into the charger. Does this make any difference?

Try charging using a different charger. The fault could be battery or charger related. Might have just enough juice to start the phone but not the screen

P0660 DODGE Description

The Intake Manifold Tuning Valve (IMTV) system is monitored for failure during continuous, key ON engine OFF or key ON engine running self-test. The test fails when the signal on the monitor pin is more or less than an the expected calibrated range

Symptoms- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light) Possible Causes- IMTV signal circuit open, shorted to power or ground.
- Damaged IMTV actuator.
- Damaged ECM.
When is the code detected?Dual plane intake system-Control solenoid failure

Check the voltage on the contacts of the base docking unit. If there is loss of contact then the iron will not heat up. secondly check the continuity of the coil within the iron as as open line or a failure of thermostat can also prove to be the fault.

If you have tried discharging the batteries prior to charging them already with no result and from what you describe in your post, then I would have to say the charger has issues. Go to HD or Lowes (not sure if Lowes carry Makita) but another charger and test your battery again. If you get the same fault, there is an issue other than the charger, if not you need a new charger anyway. If you get the same fault with the new charger, you can always return the new one. Short of opening up the charger and using a volt meter, this is the easiest way to test to pinpoint the real problem. I hope this helps and good luck!

I just have the same issue and unfortunately I can see the phone's plug it's messed up. I can see a pin inside came of the connector and it's pushed all the way in the back. Used original Samsung charger only!!<!-- from fixya rte -->

There are three common faults:

1) Battery is warn out and cannot charge any more.
2) The charger unit is defective.
3) The internal power circuit in the phone is no longer functioning.

The list above is in order from the most common to the least common types of failures that will stop the battery from charging or holding charge.

The fix for the first two is to change the battery and or the charger depending on the fault. The fix for the third is to change the circuit board(s) in the phone that has the power circuits for the battery.
