I am using SONY DSC T 300 digital camera. I am able to take photo from camera. But Once I have connected my camera in to my laptop am not able to see the folder & picture through my laptop.

The camera is not connecting to the laptop as there are some errors. If there is any drivers installed please remove them and then reinstall the drivers from Sony support.
Then connect the camera as it will be detected and installed as a new hardware.
the folders will now open for view.

wait for 5-10 mins

Connect the power cord of PC/laptop and turn on the pc/laptop and login to your PC

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I want to know one thing.

You didn't specify a make or model laptop. Some have cameras built in, some don't. You will need to research the laptop that you are considering to tell if the camera is standard, optional, or not available. And yes, peripheral (external/add-on) cameras are available.

your laptop has to work harder when when things are connected to it thus getting hotter. it's more than likely going into thermal shutdown because the fan is dirty and blocking the cooling exhaust hence no cold air circulation.
have this cleaned and the surrounding area and all should be well.

Difficulty connecting to laptop

Assuming your laptop is XP then it should recognise the camera as another drive. Have you installed the Camera software that come on a disk? If so uninstall it and let Windows do the work. The other way is to invest in a cheap USB card reader
