Changed batteries for kettler coach LS but still the display doesnt work

If you've changed the batteries in your Kettler Coach LS rowing machine's display unit and it still doesn't work, there could be a few potential issues causing the problem. Here are some steps to troubleshoot:
  1. Check Battery Orientation: Ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly with the correct polarity (+ and -). Sometimes, even if the batteries are new, they may not make proper contact if they're not inserted properly.
  2. Inspect Battery Compartment: Look inside the battery compartment for any signs of corrosion or damage. Corrosion can prevent proper electrical contact and cause the display unit to malfunction. If you see corrosion, clean the contacts with a cotton swab and some rubbing alcohol.
  3. Test Batteries: Even if the batteries are new, they could be defective. Try testing the batteries with a battery tester or multimeter to ensure they have sufficient charge.
  4. Reset Display Unit: Some electronic devices have a reset function that can help resolve issues. Try resetting the display unit according to the instructions in the user manual. This often involves holding down a specific button for a few seconds.
  5. Check Power Connection: If the display unit is powered by an external power adapter, ensure that it's plugged in securely to both the display unit and the power outlet. Test the power outlet with another device to ensure it's functioning properly.
  6. Inspect Display Unit: Carefully inspect the display unit for any physical damage, such as cracks or broken connections. Damage to the display unit itself could be preventing it from functioning properly.
  7. Contact Customer Support: If you've tried the above steps and the display unit still doesn't work, it's possible that there is a more serious issue with the unit. Contact Kettler's customer support for assistance. They may be able to provide further troubleshooting steps or arrange for repairs if necessary.
By following these steps, you should be able to identify and potentially resolve the issue with the display unit on your Kettler Coach LS rowing machine.

Unit powers up but display is frozen and no nothing after that. No remote or button response except for display off.

The display microprocessor(computer within your unit) may be bad. This IC is responsible for processing any and all IR(infra red) commands from the remote, as well as scanning all the push buttons on the front of the unit. If you're interested in having your unit repair, please visit me website at audioserviceclinic.com. You may contact me there. Thank you.

Error code 1 and 3 on my Precor 9.21s treadmill?

Precor Error 01, Memory, RAM, EEPROM Test Error Probable Cause This error message almost always indicate an upper PCA problem when they are consistently displayed. Failures causing this error message to be displayed are rare.
Corrective Action If the error message is consistently displayed when the unit is powered up, the upper PCA should be replaced. It is possible to see this message displayed intermittently due to external causes. If the units A.C. input significantly dips during the power up test sequence the test could fail resulting in this message being displayed. Treadmills operating on non-dedicated A.C. circuits may see this message displayed on an intermittent basis. Precor Error Code 01

Unit will not turn off

Sounds as if the control board took a power surge.

Display no longer works. Receiver still works, however. What's up?

This is purely a fault in the display unit. you need to check the power supply to the display unit. Check the filament voltage and the grid voltage to the display from the display driver processor.
If absent the power supply should be checked , it can be a open fusible resistor if voltage is absent. If not the IC is defective. Check for dry joints of the display unit, the IC or the connector to the display board.

Window unit will not power up

You need to check for voltage to the display. Just knowing the plug is working doesn't tell you that the electronics are getting power. It is possible that the power cord is bad. Once you have tested the unit and the unit is actually getting power to the display, then it's probably the control board in this unit.

88900 Atomic Clock does not read time and temperature.

Batteries must come out of both the temperature sensor (transmitter) and base (clock and temperature display). Leave out for about 4 minutes. Replace the batteries in the temperature sensor FIRST and set it about 5 - 10 feet away from the base. Replace the batteries in the base and leave them both set without touching any buttons for at least 15 minutes (usually only takes 5 minutes or so). The temperature should start to display. You can set the clock manually to the correct time and have it get the updates via radio in the evening or night. Should work after all this just fine. (have done it alot of times this way over the years)

Good luck.

Help

Hi,

Take every single cable out of the unit, now power on the unit.

If the power protection still shows then there is an internal fault, usually a short or a component defect.

If it powers on ok, switch off and insert 1 speaker at a time and power on the unit until the protection mode comes on again, the last speaker you have put in has overloaded it for some reason, also as you are trying each speaker use the volume and bass controls to see if there is an internal overload.

Thats as much as I can offer you until you narrow the fault down to the unit or one of the speakers.

Cheers
