SOURCE: Brand new ag30 when I

You should be using XLR to XLR cable, NOT a 1/4 inch cable. There is a problem of the 1/4 inch being the unbalanced version and is not compatible with this unit's input.

Use the XLR to XLR mic cable and it will work fine.

The cable you have would work for one of those cheap Karaoke machines...

What should be offered in piano tuition ideally?

Those piano schools are considered as ideal, which provides lessons tailored to the individual needs of each student. They should teach all age groups from kids to elderly and all sorts of people from beginners to experienced musicians. And their teaching must cover classical as well as other genres like jazz. I have and antique Kimball serial number is 197287 trying to find out the value of it

Kimball piano values vary based on age and condition; as of 2015, many uprights sell for $10,000 or more. Kimball is a well-known brand, and several of its antique pianos are considered highly collectible.
The Kimball Piano Company, based in Chicago, was one of the largest piano manufacturers in the world. At the turn of the century, Kimball built approximately 20,000 pianos annually. Kimball produced pianos under different brand names such as Hinze, Dunbar, Whitney and Harrison. Styles were influenced by Victorian, Greek Revival and Arts and Crafts architecture, and upright models were often available as player pianos. Kimball was sold to the Jasper American Corporation in 1959, and its pianos were discontinued in 1996.

Hello friends an fellow countrymen, I have a Presonus ACP88 compressor limiter with noise gates that melted the bridge, and transformer. I am trying to find a replacement transformer. Called Presonus and...

Transformers rarely need replacing unless they plugged into wrong voltage (high) source. Still, a fuse should have opened. Transformers are dipped in varnish and often look damaged when they are fine. I have Presonus mixers but those all use switching power supplies. You can probably assume that the output of the regulators are around +/-15 volts and that the DC to the regulators will need to be about 20 volts for headroom. With a single diode drop assuming FWB with center tap, we need around a 15 volts either side of center transformer... you MIGHT get by with a 27 volt center tapped... probably not a 24 volt one. Recommendation... get an original one... In audio equipment the transformers often are specially designed to run low on the saturation curve or have magnetic shielding to avoid hum. If you call Presonus, DIRECTLY ask for "Parts" or "Repair Parts" else you are likely put on hold for sales or marketing.

My amp makes this static noise wich goes off as soon as i touch one of the strings or the metal part of the guitar cable. What can i do to make the noise disapear

This is a common problem... Make sure your amp is plugged into a three wire grounded receptacle. Keep the guitar away from magnetic fields of transformers in amps and effects units. Make sure you have a high quality guitar cable.

I get a humming sound when I plug my Gibson SG straight nto the amp. The noise fades and strengthens depending the positioning of the guitar in relation to the amp.

Your Gibson is sensitive to magnetic fields You need to keep the guitar about 10 feet away from the amp as the power transformer is radiating magnetic fields that is causing the hum. Solutions: there aree several... most are NOT practical... such as encasing the transformer of the amp in Mu-Metal shielding. Changing the transformer to a toroid type (they should deliver them that way) encase the amp in a thick steel cabinet... all this is ridiculous... putting distance between teh amp and the guitar is probably the only practical solution. The level given any particular orientation should fall off with the square of the distance. Note that OTHER stage equipment also will have transformers that radiate. Much of the new amps do NOT have power transformers that run at low frequency so they don't have this problem. Marshal is old school and they use the older power supply designs that radiate the magnetics.

This may be strictly magnetic pickup from nearby sources of transformers, ballasts or other motors that generate these magnetic fields. Humbucker pickups have hum cancelling windings that PARTIALLY remove the hum. Wires from pickups to other components should be twisted to help cancel the problem.

Mis-handling is the usual cause of this. This can also occur if the clamps don't hold and the transformer slides around. OFTEN you can splice in a short piece of magnet wire to repair these. Splice and insulate well.

Amp lost power and smelled like something was burning

You'll have to remove the amplifier section from the speaker cabinet and look inside the chassis.
Check the power transformer, the output transformer and the rectifier, see if any of these shows signs of overheating.

My Behringer ADA8000 Ultragain Pro-8 stopped working all together

Hi. I have an 2 ADA 8000 and one went down with the same fault after 7 years.
Firstly, there is a slow blow fuse in the back above where the kettle lead goes in. CHECK THIS FIRST!
If, like me, you change it and it blows again, change it a second time and it maeks a "crackling noise internally. There is a problem with the internal transformer.
From a lot of talking and searching, I've found out what you need to do. Either yourself or and electronics expert needs to do this.
First of all, you need to order a NEW transformer. You need the specific one from Behringer.. I am in the UK and obtained it from EMS. Their number is 01702 613 172. While waiting for this to be delivered, you need to check the power regulator and the 100Nf capp and the 10Nf caps as these can go faulty and cause the transformer to "over work", meaning that as soon as you put in the new transformer, it could go again pretty soon.
These caps I'm told are generic and do not need to be obtained from Behringer. THE TRANSFORMER DOES.

I Hope this helps you all out as I could not find this information online, this is from genuine experience, from people "in the know". Please spread this info about to help others like us who are stuck in a tight place.
