We have been given a logik 54cm colour tv receiver with no remote to give to our domestic lady. we have no user manual and cannot see how to tune it

First make sure that the TV is set to the TV source (DTV or TV), depending on if you are looking for digital signals or analog. The top-most button on the right-hand side of the TV (as you face the TV) will let you navigate through the source list. The equivalent button on the original remote is to the upper right of the arrow keys. Press OK on the remote to switch inputs. Note: the Volume + does the same thing. The Channel +/- buttons on the TV let you navigate to a menu item. Make sure that the aerial antenna connection is secure. (Note: TV antennas with amplifiers can have the amplifier fail. Try a direct connection to the antenna without the amplifier, if no channels are found.)

Now, press the TV Menu button (on the remote, it's on the left side above the arrow keys). Alternatively, press the Menu button (the second button from the top on the TV). Use the left/right buttons (Channel buttons on the TV) to go to the Channel menu item. Press the Down button (volume down) to enter the setup section. Select Auto-Tuning and press the down arrow. Press OK or right arrow to start searching for channels. (If you only want to look for digital or analog stations, use those setting options instead of Auto-Tuning.) Wait for the search for available stations to populate. Press Exit or press the Menu button repeatedly to exit the menu system.

Hi. This might indicate that your TV is eiter in "channel " mode or in "number" mode. Channel is rhe real channel from the transmitter, (being 2-62, S channel) while the number is the one you change by your remote. There must be a way in the menu/tuning where you choose between both.

You should try going to samsung-usa.com and look for a tab labeled support or downloads. From there, after answering a couple of questions, you should be able to find the users manual that you can download for free.

I am having the same problem ,your TV has been child locked.In order to unlock it , on the remote control,there is a MUSIC BUTTON.You must press and hold this button for about 10 seconds and it will unlock your TV
