1Press the "Clear Modes" button. This button will be on the main panel of the Ricoh copier.
2Press the "1,0,7" keys in succession. You do not have to hold the buttons down at the same time but need to press and release them in this exact order.
3Press and hold the "Stop" key. You will need to hold this button down until the Ricoh copier enters into service mode. The touch screen display will read "service mode" and three soft keys will appear.
4Press the "exit" button. This button will be on the touch screen display in the upper right hand corner. Once pressed, the copier will return to normal operation mode.
5Turn off the main power. The main power button will be located on the side or front of the copier, depending on which Ricoh model you are working on.
6Turn the power back on. Once the copier is powered back up, the service code will be cleared.
After you have selected whichever test pattern you want ie 05 for lined page press the OK and exit this sp. if you go to the 5-990 SP PRINT OUT mode and choose any of the options there the printer will print a pattern on the pages instead of the data.
Here is how to do this :
1.Login as the System Administrator or Key Operator.
2.Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status screen will be displayed.
3.Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
4.Select the [System Settings] button.
5.Select the [Common Service Settings] option from the Group section.
6.Select the [Audio Tones] option from the Features section.
7.Select the required option to configure or modify, and then select [Change Settings] button.
8.Select the required audio tone. Audio tone options include: [Off], [Soft], [Normal], [Loud].
9.Select the [Save] button.
10.If necessary, repeat steps 7 - 9 to configure each option.
11.Select the [Close] button.
12.Press the [Log In / Out] button on the Control Panel. An "Are you sure you want to logout?" message will be displayed.
13.Select the [Logout] button on the Touch Screen.
Not exist memory reset,only Memory Clear.Before execute Memory clear print out all SMC data list. Enter in SP mode : press Clear(yellow key) press 107 press and keep hold more 3 seconds Stop/Clear(red) key select SP mode select SP 5801 or select using the arrows up/down SP memory clear.Press the OK and execute,when the program has ended normally,the message COMPLETED is displayed.If the program has ended abnormally an error message is displayed.Turn the main switch OFF and ON.Adjust the printer and scanner registration and magnification.Refer to the SMC lists and enter any values that differ from factory settings.Adjust the standard white level,initialize the TD sensor.It is a work from 4-5 hours,good luck.
you will need to reset your machine to clear the error. Enter the SP mode by entering, Clear Modes, 1,0,7, then hold
down the Clear/Stop Key for more than 3 seconds. Then enter the Copier
SP mode. To reset the DSM 651, enter the SC code reset(if you don't know the reset code check your manual, documentation or the side panels of your printer) and select '1'. Next, depress the 'Photo mode' key. While depressing the 'Photo mode'
key, depress the # key at the same time and hold both keys for at least
3 seconds (it is not necessary to turn the main switch off and on). If
the machine beeps 5 times, the reset was successful. If it only beeps
twice, the reset failed, and you need to try the reset procedure again.

To reset the SC 547, enter SP5-810 (SC code reset) and select “1”. Next, depress the “Photo mode” key. SC548: Fusing unit installation error

The machine cannot detect the fusing unit when the front cover and right cover
are closed.

Poor fusing unit connection
check the 2 sensors on the left hand side of the copier (as you look at
where the fuser is located). These get knocked & moved out of
postion,
this sc 548 usually happens when paper jam occurs and user does not
properly fit the fuser... also not fiitted properly due to some
foreign object in between fusing belt and the sensor...
Enter SP 5810 (SC code reset), select “Execute”, select “close”, exit SP mode then turn main power switch off and on. to enter SP mode press yellow C button press 1 0 7 on numeric keypad and then hold down the orange C button from the menu select copier SP then type in 5801 and press # selest execute then power off and back on. To reset error, enter SP mode by pressing: Clear (yellow) button, 1 0 7, and press and hold the Stop (orange) button for 3 seconds then switch off and on the copier.
If the error is still there, please check the following in the fuser unit;
Check and clean or replace the possible defective thermistors or out of position.
