Your potential problem is that your audio drivers are missing. You may get the drivers from your motherboard CD or motherboard manufacturer's site. But most of the times realtek audio drivers work for most of the system. You may get it from here. http://tinyurl.com/realtekaudio

In the above website, please select the required drivers viz., 2 or 6 or 8 channel drives. If you have just two speakers, two channel is your need. If you have a 5.1 surround or 7.1 surround setup speakers, you may choose 6 or 8 channels respectively. I guess this should solve your problem. And a simple request, please post more technical information about your problem to get more straight answers.

NOTE: Choosing a 6 channel driver won't make your stereo (2 channel) speakers sound like 5.1 stereo.

• just place it in your motherboard's PCI slot.
• boot your system and install driver for it.
• After successfull installation of driver you will be able to use your sound card.
