Here's how you set the timing od the Machine alright:
1. Take the side plate off, take the needle plate off.
2. Take the presser foot off, and put a new needle in the machine. 3. Make sure that the needle is in the lowest position and look at the needle bar for the two timing lines. Locate the top line.
4. Then, turn the handwheel toward you until the top line is where the bottom line was.
At this point, the tip of the hook should be directly in the scarf of the needle.
This should set the timing of the machine perfect....

SOURCE: bobbin case is popping out, and machine is birdnesting

Usually when this happens the bobbin is in wrong, replace it make sure the thread is going out the right way, make sure there is no lint or small pieces of thread around or underneath the bobbin area. Make sure you thread it with the foot up. Also make sure you are usng the right bobbin for the machine. They can easy get mxed up.

Are you using bobbin thread? Is your thead new? Is themachine threaded correctly?

Make sure that when you thread the upper part the thread go under the circle that pull it.

Another thing is that when you hit the start button, pull the upper thread until the machine goes two or three times. It helps the bobbin thread to come up and the machine start sewing.I you leave it along the thread sometimes doesnot comes up and that is why the machine beeps.

I use this technique to make sure it doesnt beep and to cut the thread (the one at the beginning so it doesn't mess my design)

Make sure your thread goes under the plate of the carrousel. If not the machine think is not threaded and it beeps. Thread the machine with your left hand and Pull the thread with your other hand to make sure it "clicks" to every part of the machine.

Another important detail is to add thread nets to your spool. After some used the tension of the machine is affected and the nets help the slippery thread to be pulled by the machine correctly and avoiding the beeping.

I have a Futuraâ„¢ XL-580 Sewing and Embroidery Machine. My top thread as it comes down and go around the bobbin is catching on the bottom side of the needle plate and the bobbin case.

All problems like that are usually caused by two reasons

Incorrect threading
or
Incorrect tension

As an outside reason it can be incorrect timing.

Bobbin thread not engaging with top needle thred

Be sure to try a brand new needle. Otherwise, it's possible the machine is slightly out of time. Search for "sewing machine timing" or take it for service.

Needle is hitting the metal under the bobbin carriage and machine won't pick up bobbin thread. Needle is in correctly.

First, try a brand new needle. If it was damaged by the previous activity, then it could be causing both problems.

Bobbin case is a problem. Needle breaks, eats thread, now it is broken. I need a replacement. Where do I get one?

Sounds like in breaking the needle, you knocked the timing out, you probably scored the bobbin case too. Reset the timing if you can, and look for sharp edges on the bobbin case and needle plate. get rid if them with fine wet'n'dry paper

Needle keeps hitting bobbin case on my Singer CE 100 Futura, it is now jammed completely. Why is this?

either your bobbin case isnt installed right or the machine's timing is messed up try to get needle loose or completly out is preferred then try turning it and see if it comes unjammed if so take your bobbin case out and reinstall it making sure it is in the fit right if this dont solve it then you need to get timing set (not recommended to do at home get pro to do it ) hope this helps you
