If it is a universal remote control, try an other set-up code said for your device. You might have to try more codes, before you get it synchronized with.
Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list,
use the Auto Code
Search method to program your remote.
• Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may
be another code
in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
If this too do not help you, just clean the remote control and check. See these videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsSCNCW3IbQ [open and clean] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp-l1uh-5gE [open and clean] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8oYoZslgbs LG Remote control - Open - Search [How to open LG Remote control]
Open drawer via remote control. Type 1379 and number typed will appear on screen. Follow by 0 (zero). Machine now region free.
Code 2:
Press the Open button on your remote control to open the disc tray. Press the 1 button on your remote control. Press the 3 button on your remote control. Press the 7 button on your remote control. Press the 9 button on your remote control. Press the 1 button on your remote control for region 1, the 2 button for region 2, and so on, or press the 0 button for multi-region playback.
First you want to clear both Garage Door Openers. To clear the openers you need to locate the learn code button. This button is (usually) under the white lens cover just push it and hold it in until the red light stops flashing then do the same thing to your other opener. This clears out all remote controls that are programmed to these openers. Try the remote to make sure the units were properly cleared. Neither opener should activate if this was done correctly. After units are properly cleared push the learn code button on the opener that you want this remote to open. The learn code led will flash, then press the button on the remote once (learn code goes solid), press the remote a second time ( learn code goes out). Press the remote a 3rd time and opener should activate.
Post the model number of the opener and the model numbers of the remotes. The opener model number is found on the end closest to the door and starts with 139.
Try programming the keypad like this:
Locate
the smart/learn button on the rear of the motor unit near where all
those white wires go. Press and immediately release this and then
walk over to the keypad and key in any 4 digit code you like and
press enter.
After programming the keypad see if either remote will work with it. Post this information also.
Either your keypad has reverted to an earlier technology and will no longer work properly with your opener or you have the wrong keypad. Either way take the model number off the main unit and get the correct keypad.
You need to do a remote and opener re synch, because your rolling synch codes were lost when you replaced the batteries. Go to manufacturers web site for re program instructions.
This is the most complicated way I know of coding a remote and I am a tech. who does this all the time.
Turn power off. Wait 3 sec's & turn back on. Quickly press program button on back of box twice. Lights will flash, bottom light will stay on. Press program button twice, & No. 3 light will start flashing. Press and hold your remote button until light stops flashing. Code will be accepted.
You have to sync the remotes to the new code. For older remotes, you can open the remote and match the pin settings.
For newer remotes there's a button that you push in the back of the opener that sets in program mode (for Chamberlain). When you push the remote button, it will acknowledge the remote is programmed.
If this doesn't help, comment back on your particular model and we'll help you with the solution.
