SOURCE: My Epson Stylus SX200 printer will not accept even
Check the back of the print cartridges and remove the plastic from the contacts. that is where the copper looking circuitry is. Make sure nothing is covering the contacts.
SOURCE: Heads will not clean
Usually the simple way to clean old ink from heads is to get a container of alcohol from the drug store and either using a Q-tip or paper towel soaked - wipe the print surface of the head to remove the old ink, then run the head clean utility once after. If you cannot reach the head surface, move the print head to change ink position, unplug the printer and fold and lay the paper towel soaked in alcohol under the head and manually move the head back and forth by hand to clean it. You may need several sheets of towel and alcohol to do this. Fold the paper thick enough so it will touch the head surface to clean.

SOURCE: Don't know where the refill hole is? Epson stylus c120 ink refill
The Epson 68 cartridges cannot be legally refilled at this time. There are two chips that monitor the ink levels. Once the ink gets below 25% the inner chip deactivates the outer chip so it cannot be reset. Any replacement chips you can buy are technically violating patent law. To refill these you would need a chip resetter and always refill it before it gets below 25%. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and I would not recommend refilling these yourself unless you enjoy getting ink everywhere and possibly still not having the cartridge work (btw there is no "refill hole" you make it yourself, thus the messiness).

I believe the DX series and the SX use the same system
