I have brand new projector and it came with USB wireless, but there is nowere on the boxes and papers written the password for the wireless network. When I plug the usb into the projector it creates a network and the computer finds it, but in order to connect I have been asked for password. And there is no such!
SOURCE: Wireless Connection Keeps Dropping
Hi,
Some generic solutions for WiFi dropping out may include:
1. Use of static IP addresses for the clients (in your case the 2 Sony VPL-CX86s) rather than auto obtain;
2. Disable the WEP/WPA security;
3. Set MAC filter in your router and include MAC addresses of the 2 projectors;
4. Try raising the height/position of the router; and/or
5. use an aftermarket high gain antenna for the router.
As a reminder, WiFi works by line of sight (LOS), anything in between will reduce signal strength/coverage and that include people around/near the projector unknowingly blocking the router.
Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
SOURCE: cannot find sony usb cable to connect cam to pc
This problem has largely been answered by one of people posting the problem. Once the disk has been finalised in the camera remove it and insert it in the PC's DVD drive. If it "Autoruns" you will be asked what you want to do. If you have no third party video editing software on your machine select .....using Windows Movie Maker and "Import" the footage into that program. If the disk doesn't "Autorun" start WMM and import from your DVD drive (probably drive "D"). Use WMM's Help to find your way around.
SOURCE: Cannot get Sony Handycam to connect via USB to my laptop
Hi Ken,
I have a Sony Handycam DCR-DVD610 and I had a simular problem today when trying to download videos I took as a test. I downloaded the software, then connected the power cord from the wall to the camera, then the USB cord from the camera to the computer. The software was suppose to automatically open up and recognize that the camera was plugged into the computer, but it didn't. I could not get the videos to download. So I called the Sony company and they were so nice and helpful. The man stayed with me and walked me through entirely on how to do it. You see I didn't finalize the disk. I only had DVD-R discs and I didn't realize that it must be finalized. After we finalized the disc, then I was told to take the disc out of the camera and insert it into the computer disc drive and then he proceeded to show me how to get them downloaded. If you need more step by step instructions, please let me know. Good Luck
Helen
