Dirt bike When I ride my dirt bike my tire goes flat. When I fill the tire back up and leave it in my garage-nothing happens. Could you give me some possible reasons for this? Thanks

Best bet is to change your tube and inspect the rim to make sure there is no damage to it. Also make sure there is a thin strip called a rim liner around the inside of the rim. It protects the tube from the spokes.

could be a weak air valve spring that when the wheel is rotating the centrifugal force is opening the valve and letting the air out

Started fine then nothing checked battery it had no charge in it took it to garage charged it worked for a couple of days then nothing again fine while riding is it a fault with the bike or not

If it was stored with no battery in it, possibly the field in the generator needs to be 'flashed' to give it a residual magnetism with the proper polarity.

How to Maintain a Bike's Tire Pressure for Good Performance?

Buy a good floor pump with a gauge (see "How to Buy a Bike Pump," under Related eHows). A small, frame-mounted pump is useful only for roadside repairs.

Understand that it's normal for most tires to lose up to 10 pounds per square inch (psi) per week. This does not mean you have a slow leak.

Look on the tire's sidewall for tire pressure recommendations. Don't exceed the maximum tire pressure listed.

Inflate your mountain bike's tires to 40 psi for dirt riding. You may wish to inflate your tires to 50 to 60 psi for city riding.

Inflate your road bike's tires to 100 psi for road riding. Some road tires have much higher psi ratings. However, 100 psi will provide a good mix of performance and comfort.

Inflate your hybrid bike's tires to 60 to 70 psi for city riding.

Check your tire pressure before every ride

How sohuld I take care from my bikes tires?

It is important to get your tires checked from time to time. Second only to wear and tear resulting from dirt, the biggest problem cyclist encounter is with tires. Many inexperienced cyclists tend to ignore the tires. This can lead to dangerous issues. Bicycles tubes are made from a porpus type of rubber called buytl rubber, which allows air to slowly seep out. If tires are not regularly re-inflated to proper volume, they will be to soft. Apart from being much harder to pedal with, soft tires also lead to rim, tube and bicycle wheel damage.Soft tires wear out much faster, and can pop unexpectedly, leaving you stranded. To ensure that tires are propely inflated, pump up road bike tires before every ride, and check mountain bike tires every week. Use an effective pump, ideally ,a bicycle pump with a build in gauge, and observe your bicylce manufaturers information about recommended tire pressure.

Bike has been stored in garage for a few years (tires now have no air and gray tube is sticking out), what needs to be done before I can ride it? I don't really know that much about bikes but I don't want...

Basically check the condition of the tires, if they look dry and cracked it is better to replace them, The gray tube that is sticking out is the inner tube which holds the air for the tire. If that looks good just fill it up with air to the recommended air pressure on the side of the tire and put some light oil on the chain and the bike will be road ready. If after a few days your tires lose air again, it would be better to replace the inner tubes.

How do you remove the front tire from a Honda crf 150 cc dirt bike?

The axel has a nut on one end and two bolts or one pinching the shaft on the other. Jack the wheel off the grond unscrew the nut loosen the pinch blots pull out the axel and the wheel falls out Watch wher the spacers go as they have to go back turned the right way. the brake rotor has to be lined up with the caliper to put it back in as you don't push the brake with the wheel off as the pads will have tobe pried open to get the rotor back in. Tring to fix a flat? same as a bicycle except use soapy water don't forget to use water to cheak for leaks then put on the powder on the tube before it all goes back good tire irons come from bike dealers and bike parts suppliers. Screw drivers cause more troble than thier worth. Road going bikes chage the tube patches are Illegal DOT

How to repair a flat tire?

hi!

to find the hole, try to fill the tire with air, and put it on a shallow water were it's enough for you to see the bumbles that come out from the tire.

to repair a flat tire, take out the interior of tire and if you happen to see the location of the hole try to find an unused rubber and cover the hole with that rubber and glue it with a quick drying glue... (this is a non-professional work)
