Cannot switch from heat to A/C on my 2011 Kia Soul

The light illuminate on the A/C switch and Recurculate switch but stays on heater

Look under the hood and find the heater water valve in the heater hose. If it has one see if you can move the valve by hand. If it will not move that could be the problem.
