It could be a number of things. 1. When you don't play your psp for awhile the battery dies. So try plugging it in. 2. If you have ran any online downloaded program recently you could have the bricker virus. Witch you would have to send it to sony to be fixed. 3.Try removing your memory stick and battery then turn it on with the power adapter plugged in.
1. Push the "Power" switch downward into the "Hold" position. 2. Press and hold the "Menu" and "Record" buttons at the same time until the device resets. 3. Push the "Power" switch upward all the way to turn it back on. OR 1. Grab a steady hold around the device. 2. Push the "Power" upward and hold it there until it powers off. 3. Power the device back on by releasing the power switch and then pushing it upward again. OR 1. Unscrew the screws on the back of the device (or simply push the lid off if it is a model without screws.) 2. Take out the batteries from the slot and wait until the screen goes black. 3. Insert the batteries the same way they were mounted and attached the lid again. 4. Push the power switch upward to turn on the device.
Hi there, Please turn off your psp. Before it turns on please hold on "R button". After that you will see a black screen. Please choose configuration, then choose "VSH MENU" (it should be enabled). Choose exit afterwards. Automatically your psp will reset. It will reboot.
From then you can have your psp reset anytime your psp was on. Simply push "select button" and choose reset. That's it!
If it won't charge and wont power up then same thing happened to me. If you are willing to open up your psp there is a video on youtube that can show you whats wrong. The cable that connects the buttons on the right side most likely disconnected from the main board and the right side of the psp including the buttons, the power switch and the top right trigger won't respond. When you try to turn on the psp and when its charging if the light won't come on then you might have this problem.
