to remove downloads from tablets and ipads press on the icon for a few sections until they start to shiver and a delete x will appear press that and it is deleted press the stop/start button to get back to normal

- here are 2 different ways to delete an App:
1) t's easy to delete apps from the iPhone or iPad. Simply tap and hold on any icon for about 2 seconds - see them to start to wiggle and tap the X button in the left corner. that's it.
2) For devices running iOS 5 and later, there is also another way to do this is hidden in the Settings app, in the General tab, under: usage.

if your iPad is not the first generation and has a camera built in, then the camera app cannot be deleted as it belongs to one of the core apps of the iOS system.
I think it was only moved to a folder and cannot be seen now anymore.....- so check with spotlight where this app is hidden.
