Razor i will not start up - RAZR Motorola Cell Phones

Sounds like the battery is defective.

A straight razor is a shaving razor constructed of a long steel blade attached to a handle by means of a pivot. A straight razor is a classic shaving method and nowadays it is less commonly used since the invention of the safety razors.

I experienced the same symptoms on my 8995; solid yellow light (even though the cartridge was full), cleaning failed (red light on) after pressing either start button. After many failed attempts to clean the razor, unplugging the station and pushing start button, I decided to clean the razor under running water. I rinsed the razor under water and then turned it on allowing it to run in a pool of water (like it would in the station). After water cleaning, I returned the razor to the station, pressed the start button and it worked! Was able to do both the quick clean and auto clean.

Most likely a bad battery. Check out put voltage on all posts. If it's 12 Volts DC or more, then it should be ok, and you'll need to start looking in the wiring such as the speed control switch. If not, your problem is a bad battery cell and you should replace it. NEVER TRY TO SERVICE A BATTERY!!!!!

Get a automotive battery charger that has 10 amps and hook it up to the motor. If the motor spins the motor is good. Just had to do this myself. Thought the motor was bad on ours and tested it found out it was good. Good Luck!

The batteries should be 2 x 12v giving an output of 24v anything less than this the Razor Dirt Quad will not run. always make sure you buy genuine Razor replacement batteries.

How old is your razor? It's possible that the battery's shot.
One of the problems with rechargable batteries is that they have "memory". If you put them on a charger when, say, they're only at 50%, then over time they'll start thinking that 50% is actually 0%. This is why it's often advised to run your appliance down to nothing (your razor, your laptop, your rechargable flashlight) before putting it on the charger.

Alternatively, your charger might be acting up. Best recommendation would be to take your razor (and charger) to a shop to be tested. This is an expensive razor, and if you like it, it would make more sense (and be cheaper) to get it fixed rather than toss it into the land fill & buy another.

Wet shaving at its simplest, is just that - shaving with water, a razor blade, and some sort of lubricant (lather, soap, etc.) on your face. Men have shaved this way for centuries, starting early on with a sharp knife or stone, progressing to the straight razor, safety (double-edge) razors, and eventually cartridge razors from companies like Gillette, etc.

You didn't specify how old you model is.
Generally I would say, the battery is failed.
You might try taking it to whereever you bought it and politely ask for a replacement. Its also a good idea not to leave these in cars during sub freezing weather.
