You probably have a bad thermostat. These usually aren't very expensive or hard to fix.

Sounds like you overloaded a capacitor on the clock assembly. Before you replace the clock, you should check the voltage to your stove to be sure it's a steady 110 to 125 volts. But yes, it sounds like your combo clock brain got zapped.

Hello- Sounds like lower burner ignitor is bad. Resistance should be more than 4ohms. across ignitor. Parts available locally at app. parts store for 50-75$. Fairly easy to install. - Hope this helps. Thanks- ED

Part of the model number 790 says, that the range is made by Fridgidaire. F30 means the sensor is bad and/or main board. There is no red button. You can find you part here: www3.sears.com

It could be that the sensor wire that controls the main gas valve is out of position. It should sit in the pilot light flame.
Look, and adjust if needed.
If it's ok, then you need a replacement main gas safety valve.
This should only be fitted by qualified personnel.
They do give up eventually after years of heating, and fail safe.
