The indicator light stays on our PVS50 water heater.

You have the Robershaw wiper gas control valve.
Here are error codes and troubleshoot table for that gas control.

Rheem Power Vent PVS50-36FV..Constantly goes to lock out..Unplug it turn it off . wait and turn on but sometimes in a day or a week again goes out .\r\nWhat to do??

Call the manufacturer phone # that is printed on the water heater. You probably have the model that requires a retrofit burner with reset button to be installed to fix this issue. You will also have to clean out the bottom screen filter below the burner when you change it out. They will need the model # & serial # to check if yours needs this. Douglas

Rheem Power Vent 2 water heater is flashing 4 times and there is no hot water. Model # 41VRP50NT What can I do to fix this? Do I need to call a plumber?

The flashing light is a trouble sequence light. Find your manual to see what 4 flashes means. It's usually attached to the side of the water heater tank. Try a quick fix by unplugging the power vent and see what happens.

There was a bird nest in the blower outlet pipe causing my Rheem Power Vent 2 to stop working. I cleaned out the nest but now it won't restart. I have tried turning it off then back on. The indicator...

you will need to take the vent off and blow it out to make sure noe of the nest is still in also look inside the blower and make sure there are no dead birds, or debris in the blower, it is vary hot air and would not be the first time an animal got freid inside the vent,,,,

PVS50 rheem power vent water heater do not reignite/restart/kick

I actually just installed one of these the other day, I found that the ignitor wires were straped to the gas inlet and they were shorting out,, I wraped them with electric tape and the unit came on and stayed as for the thermostat make sure your flue is clear of all obstuctions even outside, make sure on the vent on the top back of the unit is clean and no lint or dust has built up on it, you can take a small soft brush and just sweep it across it
