Fridge water sound - AEG Freezers

Many issues, bad water valve or defective switch. If you push the water switch and hear a click sound. You water valve maybe bad

If you hear a click every few minutes and a buzz / click then nothing, it would sound as if your compressor is gone, the water problem is the defrost drain pipe is blocked

To be honest it sounds to me like your fridge may be ok?

To extract the heat from within the fridge interior a compressor (motorised pump) moves gas around a series of pipes around the cabinets insides. This movement of gas causes heat to be picked up and taken away externally to the outside world. When the fridge temperature reaches a predetermined level (around 5C) the compressor shuts down and all is quite. The sound of running water you hear is the coolant gas changing state from gas to liquid and running through the coolant pipes. If the fridge is doing it's job and keeping the content cool then I wouldn't worry. One of the reasons you are probably noticing this sound is because it is a table top fridge. Built in fridges make the same noises but you don't really hear them so much because of the cupboards screening the sound.

I assume that the water is on the bottom of the fridge compartment? It could be that the drain trough has blocked and every time the fridge does an auto defrost, water runs out onto the floor of the fridge rather than down the drain. Once the defrost finishes, the water will stay on the floor of the fridge. Cold air falls to the bottom so its possible to get a sheet of ice in the bottom of the fridge. Locate the drain trough in the back wall of the fridge. See if you can visually locate any blockages or carefully dribble warm water down the drain to clear it.

the clicking sound is normal it sounds like valve operating or you may have the water pressure up to hgh for the unit. for your second problem is the fan operating inthe fridge this stops the cold air to transfer from the freezer, also check the operation of the damper this is the flap the controls the amount of air into the fridge this is uasualy controled by a by metalic thermostat or motor. thirdly which mostly common is the defrost heater is not working signs are frozer evaperator in freezer and air duct the checks are defrost timer, heater element terminatinion thermostat and someunits have thermofuses goodluck

sounds like the defrost drain is froze up use hotwater and blowdryer

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE DEFINITE ISSUE WITH YOUR COMPRESSOR, IT MAY BE CONSTANTLY RUNNING OR RUNNING TOO OFTEN, THIS WOULD CAUSE THE LARGE AMOUNT OF HEAT COMING FORM THE BOTTOM. IF YOUR COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING TOO MUCH YOU WILL ALSO GET AN EXCESS AMOUNT OF WATER EVAPORATING DUE TO CONDENSATION ON THE EVAPORATOR COILS THEREFORE FILLING UP YOUR DRAIN PAN THAT MUCH QUICKER. YOUR FRIDGES COMPRESSOR MAY BE ON THE WAY OUT BUT YOUR FRIDGE SOUNDS LIKE IT'S WORKING THE WAY IT SHOULD BE.HOPE THIS HELPS

Sounds like a blocked defrost drain. By "American" I presume you mean side-by-side.
I had a similar problem with a freezer-on-top style Samsung. The solution to that was to defrost the freezer, remove the false backing plate in the freezer (required removal of the ice cube tray. the panel just pops out with a bit of pulling). The drain hole beneath the freezer coils was blocked with ice. This drain passes down into the fridge and then out the back of the fridge into the evaporation pan next to the motor. There is a collector pan under the freezer coils, this and the drain hole were filled with ice. When the freezer goes into its self-defrost cycle the water collects here and then overflows into the fridge.
I removed the ice with hot water/vinegar mixture (so it doesn't re-freeze immediately) and simultaneosuly used a bit of chiselling with a screwdriver to clear the drain plug. I did this from inside the fridge working up the drain hole into the freezer. The whole job took about an hour.
