Just fixed a similar model from Electrolux. It's not the fan that was faulty, but its transformer on the pcb. The fan has its own pcb, a small one on the left side and is controlled via 230V from the main board. It's easy to remove, turn around and measure.

Obviously a dangerous short in the wiring. The CB is protecting you from a dangerous shock. My advice is get a repairman.

What is a freezer element? do tell

This kind of noises produced gas in cooling system. In the old coolers never heard sounds like streaming water because the compressors were very loud due to high pressures (12 bars or more), which were required for efficient cooling. Today we use more ecological gases which work (from 5 to 6 bars) at much lower pressures, thus compressors produce much less noises and now suddenly we hear sounds that never before heard. Service engeener always checks the average temperature inside freezer or refrigerator compartment. When you turn on freezer, the compressor starts to circulate gas through the system and the temperature in the freezer is decreasing (go to minus). When inside of the freezer reaches the set temperature the compressor is switched off and temperature will increasing. What will be the difference of inside temperature depends on the type of refrigerator and type of thermostat or sensor and moves to max. 8-9 degrees. With the advent of new "No Frost" refrigerator, this difference was reduced to only a few degrees Celsius, thanks to the fan inside the refrigerator and NTC sensor. So 29 + 14 = 43; 43/2 = 21.5 which means that your average temperature of -21.5 which is not too much deviation from the set temperature of -18 and I think that is ok. Dado

It very well be just that the defrost element has quit working. I have numerous frigs where the only problem were these and the owners thought it was a compressor failure. When the defrost quits working the evaporator coil gradually freezes over preventing air flow; therefore, it no cools.
