Hold down the "Stop" button and the "Speed" up button. Insert the safety key into the console then release the "Stop" and "Speed" buttons. Press the "Stop" button then press either the "Incline" up or down button. Wait while the treadmill raises then lowers the incline ramp.

There is a (silly) safety lock on the ignition to stop it starting in gear, or the key being removed if not in park, and a sensible safety lock on the gear shift to stop kids letting it roll down a hill. Try putting your foot firmly on the brake, press the park release button beside the gear shift, while pulling the shifter out of park and back into park.
Getting the key out: Sometimes the steering wheel is placing pressure on the steering lock and key release mechanism, so try turning the steering wheel in any direction it can go while trying to release the key. It should come only out when you are in park.

If you are getting an error code E68 on your Frigidaire dryer, it usually indicates that one of the keys (buttons) is stuck closed (active). Let's try entering a "Function Test Mode" and perform Key Test to determine which button is at fault. To perform the "Function Test Mode": Press and hold the START and CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The stuck key should blink. Carefully free the key and perform the test again after proper diagnosis. If button is free but the error code still exists, the electronic control will more than likely need replacing after proper diagnosis. Unplug the treadmill. Locate the console key and place the safety or reset key into the treadmill console. Replace any parts that need replacing, or is large enough to trigger with a pencil eraser or Q-tip. Plug the treadmill plug back into the wall. Use the Q-tip to press the reset button. It may be necessary to hold the reset button down for a few seconds. "CL11" will appear in the display of the treadmill.

Press the reset button one more time with the Q-tip. "CL21" should appear on the screen. Press the enter key. The display will change again and show "CL22." Keep pressing the enter key until the numbers cycle through to the number "CL26." Press enter one more time. The letter E should appear on the display screen.

Press enter twice more. The letters "SS" should appear on the screen. When this happens, press the start/stop key. Making sure to keep well away from the tread, press enter to start the treadmill. The treadmill will start on its own. The treadmill will stop on its own after a few seconds. When it stops, press the power key two times. Remove the safety key and put in a safe place. Your treadmill is reset.move on to the next step.

Locate the reset switch on the underside of the treadmill console. Usually the button

ask at the dealer i think it may only need a new stop light switch but i could be wrong ,how about leaving the car in neutral ,does key come out then as should do but later cars like this it might not work in neutral though

I had that problem and solved it by removing the red "STOP" cover. The cover pushes against a switch. If the switch moves too far down and rests against the cover, it will be stuck in a lock position causing the error message. To remove the red STOP cover, remove the few screws behind the console. When the front cover is off, turn it over and unscrew the two screws that hold the red stop cover. Then push the cover out through the FRONT. Do not attempt to lift it out by the end with the screw holes. It iwll not pull out that way. Test the machine before screwing the panels back agian. The message should no longer show STOP KEY. Test the visible white small switch that you uncovered by removing the red flap. The message should stop when you press the switch.

I kept the red STOP cover off of the switch and screwed the panels back into place. The machine now works fine!

This problem is probably related to dust/moisture or a stucked sticky control key on your monitor. Perhaps the contrast button is stucked - press the button a few times to try and release it or use a hair dryer/dry compress air to blow the keys if it is due to moisture. (Happens during raining seasons).

Try pushing all buttons several times each to unstick a stuck panel button. If that does not work the ERC clock control will have to be replaced.

You may have that same key stuck and your BIOS may be set to stop on keyboard errors. get in to the BIOS by pressing F2 and doble check that on keyboard errors stop is disabled in the BIOS, hope this helps you...
