Blank screen after account log-in is selected

My dell inspiron 1545 is fine until i log-in to any account. after that, it takes about a minute to load, then the screen turns blank. I've tried cutting the power, even letting the power run out and turning it back on- still nothing. What can i do?

This tutorial is about how to reset Dell password without losing any data. Usually, when we realize losing laptop password, the best way is using password reset disk if you have created it before.

The MOST efficient way if you don't have a password reset disk
, try to find Windows Password Key to reset your account

How can i remove a system password from dell inspiron 1545? just after switching on the laptop it prompts for a system or administrator's password. I can't enter the booting sequence.

If u want to clear the bios password u have to remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard for 5 minutes and then put it back up.

If its the windows password, and if u r lucky enough u might be able to access to ur computer from the safe mode. Enter Control Panel and click on User Accounts. Select the account for which u wish to remove password and click remove password.

I changed the password on my Dell Inspiron 600m the other night and now I can't remember what I changed it to and now I'm locked out of my computer! Please can someone please . . . . help me?

Do you mean the password to log into Windows XP?

If so, right after you turn on the Laptop, start tapping the F8 key until you get a menu screen on a black background.

With the keyboard arrow keys, select Safe Mode and click Enter.

On the Windows Welcome Screen you should see your Windows account and a new Administrator account. Hopefully, no one set up a password on the built-in Administrator account. Click the Administrator account and click to log in with no (blank) password.

Windows will tell you that you are working in Safe Mode and click yes on that box (The screen will look considerably larger and your background will not show as Windows uses default video drivers in safe mode). Click start and go to Control Panel. On the left hand side click Classic View and then Double Click on the User Accounts Icon.

Click your account from the User Accounts window that opens and choose Change My Password or Remove My Passowd. After you have removed or changed your password, close all the Windows and Restart your computer normally. When you get to the Windows Welcome Screen, the Administrator account should not be listed anymore and you can select your account and log in with the New Password you created, or log in with a blank password if you chose to Remove My Password.
