Please format memory card that is installed in your camera, press Home and select Memory Tools to format memory card.
Formatting will delete every thing on memory card and will refresh it, then take pictures.

if the memory is in the camera you can only delete one picture at a time. You can always insert the memory stick into your home computer and delete everything. Any time you format your memory card everything on there is erased also. There is no provision in the w100 manual to format the memory card so you will probably need to do it on the computer.

When this happen it is because of a defective memory card. Replace the memory card.

memory stick pro comes in 4gb, 2gb, 1gb, 512mb, and 256mb sizes. sizes up to 1gb (i.e. 256mb, 512mb, and 1gb) are what the book is referring to.
