Water dispenser does not work. Only noise when the dispenser is engaged is a click from the switch. Ice maker is still working
Sounds like the pump is faulty but could be the circuit board.
Make sure you have water at the pump. If the pump doesn't start when you call for water it could be even the switch.
This is tricky to explain and would best be repaired by a tech but if you know how to use a multi meter you can easily test it.

Sounds like the solenoid for the water in the door is not opening. There are two solenoids, one for the ice maker and one for the water dispenser. Dan

At the bottom of the freezer door ( remove the kick plate ) , there will be a water line . Follow this line , about 6 " to a connector . Push in on the white ring and pull out the line , at the same time . Activate the water dispensor pad and see if water flows from the line under the refrig . If it does , then the line in the door is frozen . Either raise the freezer temp for several days , so the line in the door will thaw , turn on the dispensor light for several hours , or , I have heard using an air tank will blow the ice out of the line in the door . If no water comes from the line under the refrig , while activating the pad , then replace the water valve , behind the refrig , the piece the wall water line connects to on the refrig .
If the water line in the door is frozen , GE has a dispensor heater which comes with instructions to install . Pt # WR49X10173 .

check the water valve on the back of the ref. it sends water to the ice maker and water in the door one can work and the other one not

2 possible problems.
#1 water valve for the water side is stuck in the closed position. Only way to tell is to pull the bottom kick panel out and look for the water line disconnect. Separate the line, close the door and try to draw water through the dispenser. If the water comes out of the disconnected line, then the water valve is good.
#2 if water is coming out of disconnected line, then the problem is in the freezer door. There is a heater that keeps the water line from freezing inside the freezer door. It is not repairable!! The freezer door has to be replaced.

I disconn
I disconnected the water line behind the kick panel and no water comes out when the dispenser is pressed. As I was pressing the I noticed that the light doesn't
Come as it normally does. Could this indicate a problem with circuit board in the panel.
