Power off.
Start the phone. when you feel the vibration after the sony logo spam the volume up button like crazy. If the phone boots power off and try again.
This should get you in to Recovery mode where you can choose Factory Reset. Good luck!

you can try doing a hard reset it wil wipe all your programs on your memory card as well as any programs you have added to you phone since it was new it esentially returns the phone to its new state you"ll have to google how to do this for your particular phone as it varies from model to model I had a phone that was doing the same thing after installing a larger mem card i just put the card that came with the phone in and did a hard reset solved the frezzing phone issue for me i hope that this is helpfull for you it is a hassel but it beats having a phone that is not working the way it should i tranfered the programs onto the larger mem card and just reinstalled them after finishing the hard reset smart phones are nice but like any computer they are prone to issues have a great day happy smart phoning if thephone you have is a non smart phone still look for how to do a hard reset on your paticular phone.just google your phone & its model number -manufacturer hard reset you should be able to find how to do what i stated above
